Well, Akbar wasn't that close to Ruqaiya , or else he wouldn't have reduced her nearly to a status of a maid to look after the palace, only in much older age , he regretted his bad treating of Ruqaiya.
He'd declared Jodha as the empress after the birth of Salim, gradually even the allowance of Ruqaiya was cut off... Does that sound like close relation to any one ? 😆

Is it so?? Then there is no justification to his character..not at all!! For once, if he is so very much attached to his fav begum, he wouldn't lust jodha..Even if he does, from his pov he shouldn't have given jodha the status that he has given(taking into account that he likes ruqaiya and trusts her more) Even if he gave that, how the hell can me ill treat ruqaiya??
