Recap:A smile spread across Jalal's face as finally after the seperation of five days he was going to meet His Jodha. He had planned to surprise her so he sent a wrong letter to the palace. "Jodha begum, Hum aagaye..."
Chapter-16
"Jodha begum, Hum aagaye..." A smile spread across Jalal's face. After about five days of separation he would finally meet his lady love,Jodha. Little did he know what was coming between Jodha and him.
Adham threw the vase right on the floor and it shattered completely in thousands of tiny pieces. A piece of the broken vase pierced inside Jodha's right foot. She cried in pain. A tear escaped her eyes.. Adham smirked evilly and took some step forward to Jodha who in turn stepped backwards. She tumbled to the ground due to the injury on her foot. Tears were trickling down her eyes as she already had sensed Adham's dirty intentions. But her Rajvanshi spirit had not died down yet. She tried to speak in a loud and clear way "Tum kuch Nahi kar sakte... shehensha akar tumhe marr dalenge..du.. Durr.. Durr hat.. Hatiye.."she began to stutter... Her lips began to shiver in fear.. But still she tried to display herself as the fierce princess of Amer. But at the end of the day she was a woman.. How could she compete with a trained warrior. She had no hope. Jalal was nowhere around her and it would take him a day or two more to arrive her.. By then Adham would have already... No.. No he can't touch me.. Adham in the mean time was burning in anger as Jodha had brought Jalal between them. He clutched Jodha's hair and pulled her closer to him. Intaking her divine smell.Jodha closed her eyes and cried in pain. "Jodha wo Jalal aab aane se raha.. Aab Tum sirf Meri ho.. Meri..."Jodha giving him a piercing glare and spoke in an serious tone. "Kabhi Nahi.. Hum sirf aur sirf Shehensha k hai.. Aur unke aansh humare kok Mei paal rahe hai.. Aap kuch bhi Nahi kar sakte Adham Khan.. Hum aapke kabhi Nahi ho payenge." Adham tightened his grip more and spoke "Toh yeh baccha humare beech Mei Araha hai.. Jalal k baccha.. Isse bhi hum raste se hatya dete hai.." By saying this he let go of Jodha's hair and walked away from her. Jodha sighed in relief underestimating Adham that he would cause no harm to her.
Suddenly Adham kicked Jodha on her tummy... Jodha screamed in pain "aaahhh!" her hand overher stomach. "Jalal!"screamed out Jodha. This scream could be heard throughout the palace. Jalal was shocked. He knew it was Jodha's voice.. Was she in trouble?? He ran frantically through the chambers , only one name on his lips "Jodha! Jodha!" His legs carried him as fast as possible to Jodha's room. Jalal broke the door which was separating him and Jodha and the sight he saw inside the room a shocked him to the core.. His anger triggered. Jodha was lying on the ground, her arms wrapped around her stomach "Humara baccha!"she cried profusely. Adham on the other hand had brought a stick to put an end to Ja-Jo's baby.
By this time every single living soul
in the palace came rushing to Jodha's room. Hamida was the first one to enter the room followed by Ruqqaiya, who was cursing her fate.
Jalal's eyes were blood shot. He clenched his fist. He first ran to Jodha, who was almost fainting. Jodha's vision was blurry. Jalal with teary eyes and a broken voice spoke "Jodha begum aapko kuch Nahi hoga.. Hum haina.. Kuch Nahi hone denge..Humara baccha bhi thik hoga." He caressed her forehead to relief her. Jalal turned his face and spoke to the Bandhis "Khade Khade mu kya dekh rahe hai aap log... Hakim Sahiba ko bulaiye.." Jalal took Jodha in his arms, Jodha had fainted already. He carefully placed her on the bed. "Adham Khan,Tum humare saath chalo.." He held Adham by his collar and grabbed him outside. He brought Adham outside,in the garden, threw him in the garden and ordered the guards to beat him up. The guards beat Adham mercilessly, when Jalal ordered them to stop "Isko Kayed Khane Mei band kijiye... Aur Inko saza hum Khud denge aur hum inko bakshenge Nahi.." Jalal dismissed the guards and ran to Jodha.
He impatiently waited outside the room, finally after five hours,The Hakim came outside. Jalal rushed to her and drowned her with enormous amount of questions "Is Jodha begum alright? Is my baby alright? Is everything settled down? Why aren't you answering me?? Is something wrong? Answer me this instant!" The Hakim plastered a smile on her face "wo Shehensha... Jodha begum is alright now.. I have given her some medicines. She needs some rest and care. And about your baby... It is also perfectly alright. I must say the shehensha's baby is as strong as the Shehensha.." Tears fell from Jalal's eyes.. For a moment he had thought that he had lost both Jodha, his life , and their unborn baby. Jalal rushed inside the room and found a sleeping Jodha and Hamida sitting next to her and caressing her forehead.
Jalal's expression instantly changed "Ammi Jaan you need to answer some questions." Hamida looked at Jalal with tears as she knew she was at fault. Neither she had left Jodha, neither this would have happened. She felt herself responsible. But thanks to God that nothing happened to Jodha and her child.
"Huzoor sambhaliye aapne aapko.." Spoke Hoshiyaar as he tried to calm the wounded tigress, Ruqqaiya, whose plan had yet again failed. She should've never trusted Adham with anything. He was good for nothing.. Now she was fearing that Adham would expose her as he would never drown alone. "Hoshiyaar isse pehle ki deer hojaye Hume kuch karna hoga.. I have to do something about Jodha..." By saying this she laid on the long divan of hers and started smoking a pipe of Hukkah..
