The show is very young...only 3 episodes old...so I've yet to determine if I'll continue watching. I did like Rajat in PRC so that's basically why I'm here...otherwise I had sworn off Ekta Kapoor dramas 😆

I agree to sm of ur points like lacking the 'Royal' touch.The character seems ordinary with their body language and language and cinemetography.I hope things will improve.

2.About that weighing scale point,there was already many thing put on the other side of the scale,but to show the symbolic importance of "knowledge" they showed a golden copy of "Prithvi Raj Raso" to complete the weighing ceremony.This book holds a great place in Indin and Rajput history.

3.And about that Moti baai point,she was trying to commit "Jauhar"[to burn oneself alive,if the lady's guardiae dies].It was a very famous Rajput tradition to save the women's dignity when a king lost a war and the womenfolk was normally seen as a war booty.

4.The fortune teller was stereotype but the queen does not act queenly even the costumes doesnt impress me.

5.Tho Akbar's height seems to be a prblm but Rajat is a fantastic actor he wont let this hindrance come in his way while portraying the character.

2 things...

First...I too wish Rajat was taller. I mean it was okay when he was playing a teenaged PRC or Veer...but now he's playing a man...a king...and his height is highlighted especially when he's standing next to taller characters. 😕

Second...I think the moguls are being portrayed a bit OTT. I don't know Indian History so maybe they were. Of course they were an occupying force and I'm sure many a barbaric acts were committed...but the way they are shown to treat women...Eeesh! They come off as being animals. 🤢...a very real contradiction to their religion of Islam.

As of now I like the movie version of Jodha Akbar better 😆

i sort of agree. i have always loved rajat's works, whether it was in PRC, dharamveer, tere liye or keshav pandit ( he completely rocked in this role). he brings a lot of intensity to any role he does. i wish rajat was taller too but even though it is still the start of show i am confident that his height factor will be overshadowed by his acting. height is not everything if one can act so well like rajat does.

Totally agree with @john909,in historic data about the turks and of course about Rajat too.

And you're talking about any show,I've watched all of his shows excluding sm of the early episodes of PRC and sm of tere liye.You know how many times I watched the Rajat part of 'Keshav pandit' and the during the time of Dharam Veer,I changed my cable connection jst b'cos of rajat as the cable operator was not providing NDTV imagine.I m crazy about the lad.

As i have currently nothing to watch, so the title of the show caught my attention.. JA, i loved the movie version acted by HR & A Rai... So when i saw a glipmse of the promo, i wanted to actually see it... so decided to go by updates as im not into Historical shows... but yday i did watch the 1st & 2nd Epi, n here are my points:-

I did like the opening of the show when both Jodha & akhbar was shown in the background talking, n they reversing the story to tell the viewers what happen... I find it a nice touch...😳

1. Lots of graphic used... Espically when line up of mans during war n fights... Very obvious...

2. There was a scene wer Jodha was asked to sit n they are putting things on the other side but suddenly a guy comes n put something n she goes up... but that thing does not look that heavy 😆... what the 😆

it shows the power of knowledge dear, bcoz that "thing" was a book :-)

3. Language/ body language- i have read many post on this i agree... its easy to understand as a viewerbut when u are potraying historical shows like this i think the language cannot be so simple... i dun see anything royal here... the sets are ok but other than that u dun get the feel of royal thing in the show...I like the palace wer Jodha was introduce, it was nice...

correct, the dialogue writing is terrible :(

4. Certain scenes are overdramatic...

- cutting leg for stealing slipper 😆

it was shown to show Akbar s cruelty ...

- Jodha when she sees the jewels of the godness got stolen 😆

- Jodha expression changes like 😆when shes angry... the consistency of looks / avatar when shes ok n turns into angry mode, should be taken into Note.

-Moti Bhai What the 😆... guys was she raped or what, she wanted to kill herself 😲... or did i miss something...

in olden days, if any men touched u b4 marriage, you cnt be married...that's what my granny tells me :(

-Song played when the jewels got stolen, what the... it was like tamil drama effect 😆overdramatic...

-someone did mention in the forum that the young akhbar n later when the actor playing akhbar shown, the height difference was not there.. They should have choosen someone who is shorther... n then when akhbar is shown we can see the differences...just my view 😳

-the old lady wer she told jodha future, she throw something...😆n it falls later when the queen collect it after chsing the lady, it was all over over dramatic 😆

5. Jodha : When i saw the promo i asked myself why this girl was choosen as a heroin. I have not seen any of her previous work but then i thought its too early to judge a person like that. But i actually like her after watching the show. I wont say shes too good but she can always improve n i hope she given chance to prove her ability in acting. I only have one complain on the actress playing Jodha, plz dun get me wrong, her teeth... Notice it in certain angle of shot n when she talks n smiles, its disturbing to see... I know there is nothing can be done but i think they should note this when shot is taken.

6. Akhbar: When i watch the promo this guy playing akhbat caught my attention...I like this guy playing akhbar...hes cute 😳I only have 2 complain on actor playing Akhbar

Other Cast : i like the actress playing the queen, but again here certain act of hers does not look like shes a queen. The King the less i say the better 😆... Jodha sister 2 was 😆... guys are this people aware they are potraying a royal family...😆 Absolutely correct😆

Overall ; Actually i kind of liked the epi it was funny 😆
