Guys, in d movie, when d eununch took Jodha to her royal suite, d eununch called it "Shahi harem"
It was basically d staying place of d court queens or shahi begums. :)

I agree about MP. After following every discussion in the forum about MP, I followed the show for a week. And I literally died of boredom. The plot just refuses to go forward. The show has such brilliance though. It is a shame I don't like shows without romance. 😕

Honestly even romance is not that needed a criteria for me as long as the STORY and CHARACTERIZATION is strong...but in the case of MP, they DRAG way too much and thus DILUTE a lot of the effect...romance toh will come later when they show Pratap growing up or something I guess...lol...the show can deffo be appreciated for it's production values though.

As of now, JA has more instant masala and poor production values notwithstanding, the story atleast MOVES😆

Yes, but the movie conveniently GLOSSED OVER the shahi harem by never really showing the individual wives...thus it was quite easy for the audience to forget that Jalal had MULTIPLE wives and the entire focus remained on his love story with Jodha😆

In the show however, the fact that Ekta is introducing the individual wives and showing their equations with Jalal will deffo lead to more drama and awkward equations...lol...

I think Abdul might end up playing a role similar to the eunuch in the movie...a sort of confidante for Jodha and a bridge of communication b/w her and Jalal.

Anyways, coming back to the topic...haan that's what I thought when I watched that scene but then I read Smiley's interview where she talked about her role as Ruqaiya and how her and Jalal share a lovely bonding so I was thinking they must be quite close😆

Well I don't think Jodha'll be under any too much shocked or sad that Akbar has other wives.
1stly, she won't love Jalal 4 a long time so she won't care.
2ndly, she'll be Jalal's first love ever so she'll if any thing feel sorry for the other wives who didn't get his heart, given her big heart.
N 3rd, even Rajput rajas used to have a huge no. of wives at those times, so rajpup gharane mein shadi hoti to vi ye hona tha.
