i admit that rahul is a great singer and i am also a fan of his .. but certainly he didnt sing better than sonu.. sonu sung live in srgmp lil champs .. and it was too good

even sonu was compared / touted as next rafi- he infact grew up singing rafi songs only- so wat harm in comparing rahul to sonu- rafi is legend sonu isnt- iam not anti sonu but yes in this industry comparisons do crop up when they start to notice u!!!!!!!!

Rahul was great yesterday but honestly it is silly to compare sonu and rahul. Rahul has a long way to got before he can be compared to a brilliant singer like sonu.

honestly i think there's no big difference btween them (leave out the experience factor) ... Rahul deffintly has a long way to go to acheive what he certainly can acheive with his hard work & dedication ... he may go even further not just to the limit of becoming very very close to one of the great singers because he's already there ...

BTW Sonu ji said it himself that Rahul is the one & only threat that he can think of (at least same meaning) !! i guess we all've heard of that ... so are you guys trying to tell me that he was being silly to compare himself with Rahul at a time when Rahul was even younger ???

i agree by saying that he was trying to express his opinion about Rahul & what a fabulous singer he is but he could've said anything else instead of saying something risky like this !!! so guys i really think that he was serious about it & he ment it !!

everyone was looking for a voice like Amit Paul. After Kishore Kumar, this is the voice thats going to rule bollywood (by Javed Akhtar)


and what not? on drop of a hat, people compare the performance with the original and say its better than the original what they miss

1. The original was recorded without a single prior reference

2. You get multiple takes and technical help, but what you don't get is infinite time to mug one song like crazy, most of the songs are recorded in one single day. all these reality show singers do is to practice one song crazily for one week, did you ever see a live
performance by the so called "near-perfect" singers
in a live show, where they need to sing a bunch of songs?
they suck big time

so sorry guys. never compare a reality show singer with a pro

it means a lot to be a pro, and that too someone like Sonu Nigam , Hariharan, Udit Narayan , SP Balasubramaniam
