Agree on the fact that Nihira and Vaishali sang very well last week. But definitely do not agree on the statement that Anwesha should have been out instead of Torsha. I'm sure that Torsha wouldn't have been able to sing even 2 lines of "Naino mein badra chhaye". I absolutely agree with Swanand Kirkire's decision.

Question is not who sang what song and whether the other person could have done justice to it or not..Trust me I am no Torsha fan...i dont even think Torsha and Shivam belong to this contest..But but Torsha sang well last sunday the song she picked and Anwesha's sur were off and she was running out of breath at many places..So I am going by their renditions..Nothing personal..I know Anwesha was wonderful singer during CU..But this time her own level of singing has gone down..So My post refers to the sunday renditions of both..

Actually, I think Torsha went off-key many times. Anwesha did not lose sur or breath. The problem with her performance was that it was a line by line reproduction of Lataji's oldie. It lacked the kind of variations that Vaishali brought across with her performance that won everyone's hearts. In Shantanu's words, it didn't have the magic. Maybe something was bothering her personally and she seemed low. I've heard both Anwesha in CU and Torsha in Indian Idol. There is no comparison between the two of them.

Every week I look forward to Sharib's performance. I think his performances are always unique and very creative (maybe due to him being a music composer)- but there's always a freshness when he comes out to sing.
