You know the issue is Leena is giving none of her characters core principle/characteristic if you must; for example, we all know in the very near future she’s gonna put the blame on Cheechis mom, Ani will remain in pendulum between love and responsibility like he did when he first brought Jhanak. I know he as per audiences POV, was never in love with Arshi but the story initially was that they both loved each other. When he helped Jhanak and brought her, she was initially his responsibility because Arshi shooed it away so he was left with no option. Anyway, even then he was in pendulum trying to balance between his idea of love and responsibility.
That character trait will be shoved down our throats once again if they bring didis pregnancy. Main problem is inconsistent writing and too many open tracks that have had no closure. Where they did try to (2 days of jail vacation for Shristi for Jhanaks murder), it did nothing! It’s now gotten to the point where audiences are no longer interested (I say audiences and by that I mean us) clearly, their TRPs haven’t yet taken a hit for them to close any track.
I’ve seen so many of you point out Urvashis letter, Holi kaand where Ani was supposed to check CCTV or even Shristi madams involvement in Js kidnapping in Kashmir by going through phone records. You know no one now talks about how that lipstick mark appeared on Anis neck post birthday night, or even when Ani got into accident, it was J who got the miraculous flower to bring him back to life. Choton is the only person who knew but these are all loose ends and story has downgraded soo much in terms of execution that these things don’t make a difference anymore (I missed some of the episodes during accident track so don’t know the ins and outs). We all emphasise on Urvashis letter, Holi, Tejas etc. so much that these minute things go unnoticed.
If you think about it, J and Ani have both been acting dissimilar since the birthday date night. If you notice, there have been so many instances post that night where they’re almost awkward up until the Kashmir kaand in front of each other. When J went to gift him that ring, you can tell in her voice pre ‘engagement’ of sorts that she’s starting to feel uncomfortable in an awkward manner not because she thinks Ani was being a creep but because she wanted to almost not acknowledge what she was feeling until of course she burst into tears after coming out of his room. Same goes with Ani although at that time he was more clear than J was, he was trying to not force the marriage yet wanted to do everything he could to not let her go and not be a creep and still want her to be successful. When he and Choton went to drop Jhanak off, the only time he was with her alone was in the train and even the conversation they had over the phone, there was awkwardness of some sorts (maybe I looked into it too much 🙂). Up until J lashed out at him for trying to marry her off, they were both in that phase.
Now the story has taken such a turn that there is no U-Turn especially if they are preparing for Arshi pregnancy. Long shot I know but one way this can end is if for whatever reason they stop giving Chandni that much of importance I mean I get it she was given this role as a parallel lead and no one would want to be the side character or wish to play negative character but if played nicely, sometimes negative characters are what drives the story. Take Komolika from KZK2 for example, her arrival amped up the story. Even Ragini from Swaragini, she was something else. She was sooo bad, it was so good.
No offence to Chandni fans here but, (incoming bad analogy) she’s been given a role of you know how we all have our favourite pens or mugs that we only use once in a while for something important and then put it back because it’s too important to be broken or thrown; her role is like that only. They use her as per convenience for her to only take a back seat. Tejas and Js 2nd adhoori shaadi for example, in the whole scene/fiasco she was nothing but a tree in a Christmas play. Unfortunately Cheechi doesn’t have it in her so all she’ll do is act like a victim and throw herself and ra*e a guy she once claimed to love. Her idea of love is to say the least quite sadistic. I don’t care what the actress does or say irl but she can’t continue to justify the acts her character does only because she’s parallel lead.
Off topic lol but, problem is they’re trying to portray the story like how things happen irl but which woman irl will go to that extent just because she wants to impose herself on a man for a win against someone who has already given him to her in charity? Surely, no one is gonna give up their very successful career for a man especially being a celebrity of the level they try to showcase her to be. I mean it’s only a matter of time someone’s gonna parda fash your lies and your reputation will go down the hill.
The content has been appalling ever since the fire and marriage track. Oh and speaking of marriage track, they showed Jhanak leaving BH in promo but didn’t happen. Ani knew his celeb MiLs involvement in getting J married to Tejas in disguise but none of that has ever been brought up. The fact that Bipasha was also involved in Js kidnapping in Kashmir is also another fact that’s been brushed under the carpet. But hey ho, any bad thing even if it’s not bad, it’s Anis fault because he brought Jhanak in their lives.
Sorry about the long post but wanted to share my views 😊
