The way he said mein khubh jashn manaunga... if this is not jealousy then what is? And the way Jhanak closed her eyes in pain and teared up a little bit. Is there any other conclusion than she got hurt by his words?

Ouch, Ani baba you talk harsh words like bereham and all... then if something happens to her you feel bad for it. Words once spoken cannot be taken back so please be more careful that you don't regret... you are the older and mature one of you two. Anyways, at least this is a chance that they both are talking openly to a certain extent even if through taunts.

Jhanak has no answer when he asks why she doesn't think bad about him when he has been rude to her and she quietly diverts by saying she is tired...

And Ani baba says he hopes the new guy likes her...

Bit confused by Ani's dialogues and thought process though.. on one side he behaves out of character in front of his family to save Jhanaks life, calls her Jhanak Bose etc etc.. then next minute he's like make sure you ask the guy who comes to see you the right questions blah blah.. bro, like do you want her to get married ?? I know he's in denial but still yeh kya hai?

I just feel like he is lashing out as Jhanak keeps shutting him out of her life actively... so he is like "tumhe shaadi karni hai, teekh hai karlo phir, ummed hai ki uss ladke ko tum pasand aye" type of reaction...

I'm low-key loving this agnst shown by Jhanak ! Like you say both are aware of their budding feelings for each other but will not accept it.

Unfortunately for Ani, Jhanak is no way in hell going to accept it before he does because of wrath she'll have to face from his family. So no matter what Ani will have to accept his feelings first and coax her to do the same.

As Paulaji mentioned in one her posts, because there is a power imbalance, and Ani's position is way more important within the Basu and Mukherjee families his reactions will have a stronger impact to the story's progress.... if Jhanak is the one to realize first she will double down on her defense mechanism and things can get quite ugly and toxic on the story front. I don't think us viewers will like that. She will become more submissive just to get away from what she considers a sin.
