How does she avoid it when they literally bring it to her doorstep. And Jhanak is just 21…she is so young and repeated insults like this are bound to hurt and damage her psyche. She has no one and they keep pushing that in everyday. I like Ani - but tbh, his behavior is disappointing in this way. What stops Ani from maintaining the hard stance on defending Jhanak? Ani asks for books’ list. For me, rather than blame Jhanak, the Boses don’t allow her time to do anything for herself and even worse, also use words to stop her from being able to dream. If I was Ani, I don’t think I would be able to eat in such a house without doing something. Ani is capable. He is CAPABLE. What ever stopped him from saying she must write the books’ list in front of him, telling his parents that Jhanak will not work on particular days/times, calling her principal to actually set up a study and exam schedule, or even just hitting hard EVERY TIME Jhanak gets insulted. Not once has Ani tries to set boundaries concerning Jhanak, especially to shristi and Arshi. He did when she was sick - but is it not the well person who needs it more? It’s in those times he does it that the show gets more appealing and exciting - so even just for the audience’s sake, Ani should have been more proactive. But he is not - and it’s a missed opportunity because at the start of their return from Kashmir, he was bolder. Over time, his retorts got softer and fewer. I am no Sherlock but this is why I have always maintained that Ani has his own selfishness. The more he grew feelings for Jhanak, the less active he became on the daily. I think it’s too much to say he wanted her to suffer, no. But it’s not strange to say (as we all know) that he became possessive of her more and wanted her to be beside him. It became less of keeping her safe than keeping her around. If Ani had been proactive to the point of actually helping her out with a hostel (as we had pleaded for long), she wouldn’t be in the house. If he had been proactive to the point of causing drama everytime she was hurt, he would be put on the spot about his behavior for Jhanak and we all know that Ani is heavily invested in suppressing his feelings and maintaining that he still loves Arshi (which he doesn’t). I have never seen Ani as some saint, as well as Jhanak. But I maintain that Ani’s shortcomings are of his own volition unlike Jhanak that has been bullied into subordinate mentality. She wasn’t like this before. Now all she says are meri Maasi and in a rush to get married. Instead of thinking she wants that rather than build her career, I believe more that Jhanak wants to hurry things because she is clear that she can never have a healthy and happy life, talk less of Career in Bose house. Her ticket out is this marriage - and it might be possible the man is good and she can live well. But even if he wasn’t, she can still deal with that and maybe divorce later right? Maybe Jhanak doesn’t know that is not easy as it’s said but right now, the greatest devils in this 21 year old mind are the people that stood in front of her today. Jhanak doesn’t think they are above murdering her, so even if she had to marry someone worthless, she wouldn’t care so far she could leave. That’s why I am not even rushing for some confession. I would rather realization of feelings and also self-reflection on Ani’s part. He didn’t use 1% of his abilities and power in that house and for some, it might have been better if he was really a bad guy who hated her because Jhanak used to have so much expectations from him at the start (recall his promises and all the stares?), now she doesn’t even move her head when they insult her.

I am so glad you said this. Today when Jhanak said she's happy to marry whoever Shrishti chooses for her, in the first instance like Ani, I was also exasperated. She seems to be hell bent on ruining her life! But on reflection , her current actions are a result of what Ani has put her through. Sure he got her the Ad shoot etc, but he has also been throwing insults at her . His family do the same. In Jhanak's mind she is the reason her cousin Arshi decided to commit suicide . The family blame her for trying to come in between Ani and Arshi..and somewhere she knows that Ani's feelings for her run deep, and that makes her uncomfortable as she met him first as her cousin's to-be-husband. In her mind, if Ani's feelings for her develop any further, or he's shown caring or helping her, that will just prove the fact she has indeed come in between two 'lovers'. We audience know that there is no real love between Ani and Arshi, but Jhanak and the Basu family don't know that. For a 21yo to be dealing with all of this is understandably quite overwhelming. Her sole aim now is to get out of Basu house, and she knows she can't just leave because Ani won't let her , despite whatever money she has. Again, this is why I say he's put her in what she feels is a cage. Her only chance of leaving unfortunately according to her is to get married to someone else. This will automatically mean that whatever 'haq' Ani thinks he has on Jhanak by bringing her to Kolkata will go (because that's the excuse he keeps throwing at her), it will put a boundary between Ani and Jhanak so Ani stays away from here and Jhanak will not be labelled a home wrecker . From her POV she believes her marriage is the only way to keep Ani away from her and hence keep the rest of the family happy. Its quite sad really to see her so resigned and willingly hand over her life to someone.

Today’s hospital scene was so funny for me..😂 what are they making the doctors look like..I can’t stop laughing imagining Rohit Sippy’s reactions from KHKT🤣…hope TRP audience don’t start looking for a small Shiv Mandir in Calcutta…🤣😂what do they take audience for? But I am watching this sham shamelessly..😄🤦🏻‍♀️ Arey yaar, why do you also make me confused whether I want to whole heartedly hate Arshi with the rest of the gang or not..🤣 What is the point of her reaction to the Jhanak on ventilator dialogue.. What is the point of making Ani look directly at Bipasha as soon as Jhanak said I am forced to drink, if you make both Ani and Choton to leave it. Guys, make up your mind na and help me make up my mind too..😁 I can understand Jhanak’s desperation as she thinks her getting married is the only way to get out of this mad house…I am not mad at her for a change. Except for them letting go of why this happened, I am excited for this week for a change. Hoping to see our favorite Villian Tejas as his body double is brought in as the groom. At this point as a viewer I am also exasperated with this rinse and repeat that Tejas taking Jhanak away sounds like a miracle to me..🤣😂Jhanak is smart enough to figure out how to handle him on her own.. kuch tho story progression hoga rather than this family shouting match in a repeat mode…😂

After whatever Ani went through when she was unconscious, they didn’t show how he reacted once she is awake. Of course I understand makers can’t show Ani hugging her right now. But this is so off for me. I badly missing Imlie season 1 now. How much ever the leads are good looking and have chemistry, it is tough to go through this. Planning to take a break for 2 weeks.
