Ohhh Hiru!!!! I'm absolutely delighted to see you again! It has indeed been too long! I know, I could actually feel my heart swell with pride every single time he got a standing ovation, or the nonpareil praises, alike. Its not unsubstantiated why even the judges vouch for his talent, they have their hearts stolen by his dance too. 😛
U know I felt they under-praised/ appreciated him most of the time😆 its like..haa he is a trained dancer..he is expected to do well kinds..😕😆 Ive been underwhelmed by a lot of trained dancers in the same show in the same format in the past..and with faisal's shaky start with co-ordination issues/ heavy on foot movements in the beginning, I was definitely worried..but then he miraculously turned around (ok for me since the PK act😳) but for most since Lavni performance..I was certainly elated to see faisal push himself towards those territories that were his weak areas..he exceeded my expectations in the lavni, the classical dance and the ariel + blindfold act..for that matter even the performance where Faishnavi had to dance as per the camera angles focused on miniatures..it looks easy to watch, but really difficult to perform..when it was all about being literally "on the right place at the right time"👏
I'm quite sure they are not on IF to contribute in stuff like forum ranking and all 😆. My mom was like, "Who do you think is gonna win?" and I said, "Mumma, they're gonna make Sanaya Irani win.." and she goes, "Sanaya? 😕 Why?" She isn't a daily soap person you see. 😆 (Only historicals and mythos she watches) So, yeah, there's a life outside IF. 😆
yeah no IF-ing😆 not many know about this secret hideout place for TV/ movie buffs like us😆😆😉 I agree, JMO as well sanaya's target audience is the youngsters, who may have followed her since MJHT and IPK..even faisal's audience is niche, who follow historicals as u said..in any case..I dont doubt that sanaya has a massively huge fandom and many are very very active online..but for his age and purely making a mark big time on the basis of his talent and literally being a shining example of rags to riches story, faisal is a known face unlike how he is perceived to be on this forum..and hopefully JDJ has only added to his steadily increasing fanbase😃
I beg to differ there, I think her semi-finale performances were sub-par and not worthy of the trophy, not at all. I still fail to see what kind of exceptional improvement she has shown, improvement yes but exceptional no. Then Shamita and Mohit are equally 'deserving' to win. But my post was never intended to compare Faisal with anyone else at all. There's no need to do that. Every one who has eyes can see that for themselves. Anyways, I'm so glad to see so many hibernating Faisal fans come out and extend their support for him so coherently in their posts. 😃
u know when she started off, her terrible first performance, simply cringeworthy and lacking in grace..she has come a long way for me..compared to THAT 😆 her movements are definitely more fluid and pleasant to watch subjectively..thats just me I guess...
and no definitely not comparing faisal with anyone..im only talking in perspective with the individual journeys of all performers..by that margin..I found shamita the weakest..she was good in the first episode..and she is strictly good till the end..but nowhere was there a fantastic performance..which would make me sit up and watch her..and I find her totally lacking in expressions department..never understood the hoopla around her by the judges..
as for faisal he can only be compared to himself..or as aditi had said - to his alter ego in lavni dance - "Faisilaa"😛😆 by that barometer, I definitely found a great deal amount of growth in faisal as a dancer in JDJ..his expressions are on point (courtesy his acting stint), he has added finesse in his performances, he has improved on his footwork..since he started out in JDJ..he has worked on instilling just the right amount of energy in his performances..not going too OTT, not underperforming either..over the course of performances
I know, he will be upset over missing the victory by such a short margin even after doing everything that needed to be done on this platform. *sigh* But I'm sure he won't cry, what he has achieved in his teenage, others have or not have even in their mid thirties. He has a long way to go and he will only emerge a better person, and a better dancer , of course!
