Coming to the topic at hand..

Like many have aaid i would have to disagree.. the only week i lost faith in him is week 3.. which incidently is the only week he didnt choreograph the whole act around sanaya.

First two to 3 weeks sanaya had a rib injury and in her own words later on Jai choreographed around it. The fact that she didnt make a song and dance around it and make use of it on stage is why not many r aware why they started on the backfoot literally..
And 4th week and 5th week they have done a really amazing job..

I agree there r not single wow steps so far to pick and choose individually but the acts as a whole have been completely centered around sanaya. He doesnt hide her behind his dancing and allows evry act to be about her.

And after seeing the tech rehearsals of her murja dance it is pretty innovative and they have really upped the dancing side..
So maybe we would get to see something really good.

Anyway finaly I do agree that sanaya's potential hasnt been explored by him fully..not yet..but they will come there..he is working on her slowly and steadily..

Working around her injury in the first few weeks must have been difficult. Especially because there were certain steps she could not have done. Also, the first act to me, is exploring what the contestant can and cannot do.

Week 1 - Lovely
It was their first act and she was in clear discomfort because of her rib injury. From their comments, they understood their strong and weaker points. They made a few mistakes in the dance but it was all about improving. The journey from a non dancer to a dancer is never an easy one.

Week 2 - Jaise Mera Tu
This was definitely a mesmerizing performance. The steps were lovely and she worked hard on her posture. Maybe better steps could have been given, but I really loved this one.

Week 3 - Naach Meri Jaan
Not their best, she did her steps well, but there was a wow factor missing in the performance. It happens, sometimes acts work, sometimes they don't.

Week 4 - Dhoom Machale
They definitely took the comments and low marks seriously and worked extremely hard. She was totally out of her comfort zone and it was a treat to watch her. I especially loved the finger snaps and the booty step, have never seen those before.

Week 5 - Banno
Both the choreography + Sanaya's expression, together with how well she got into her character, were all contributing factors for why they got that perfect score. My fav step was when she moved and he rolled on the floor, it takes a lot of sync for that. Also never seen before by me.

Week 6 - Baby doll
Though it has not aired, I have seen the technical rehearsals and I must say I did not expect that song but the dancing that I have seen was amazing. Thoroughly enjoyed it!

All in all there may not be jaw dropping moments in her performances but as a complete act, it feels and looks awesome on screen. From week 1 till now, an evident growth in Sanaya can be seen, from her dancing to her confidence... Jai has a major part in that as he is her teacher.

Jai has certainly steered her in the right direction. I love that its all gradual, she is a learner, she wants to learn, not just perform steps given to her. I also love how different her characters are and the dancing styles are really different also, she's really versatile and Ganesh mentioned that, that's all due to Jai and his vision.

Its been six weeks and by now Jai has explored a lot but yes there is more to be explored, with time it will happen. I'm excited to see a new part of her being unveiled each week.

Jai is doing a fine job
He is not over confident just because its sanaya
They are taking little little steps and are growing
I just hope this mujra performance turns out to be good because by far according to me this is the biggest risk sanaya and jai have taken
Talking of choreographers I find radhika's choreographer not that good in comparison to others

I want to see her doing salsa tango belly dance and also hardcore Bollywood dance. Once she come out from her comfort zone then her performances will be worthwatching then before.

Though I don't have much expectation from Jai. But we never know he might turn out - out of the blue once getting earful from fans & judges 😆

I don't think he is being lazy as by showcasing his talent he can hv ample of opportunities in future..yes I do think he is playing safe which makes us doubt his abilities as a choreographer...I hv seen sanaya dance on shows n it seems she has a lot of potential which has not been explored so far..bt her dhoom performance n upcoming performance give me a lot of hopes as a fan not just from sanaya bt from choreography also

He is keeping his acts focused on Sanaya, and letting her be the limelight to showcase her potential.
Such is not the case with other choreos this season.

So I disagree with ur post.

@zesty: maybe he has done well in the upcoming performance (will watch it directly over the weekend) but so far IMO he has been disappointing..yes sanaya is in focus for the performances but the steps and the structure of the performances has been simple and safe..nothing unusual that would make someone take notice..he might have given her centre stage but he isn't trusting her enough to sive her steps that test her and take advantage of her potential

@Pari-Sona: I beg to differ..the improvement in Sanaya's confidence is her own doing..she was nervous for the first performance which is obvious but now that she is used to the stage and its demands, she performs with confidence
Which is why I think it's all the more important that jai choreographs stuff which brings her ability out more than it is

Well I don't know if sanaya is the centre of attraction in this forum but I am going to make you the star attraction of this post by replying to you individually..how lucky are you 😳

Oh and by your own logic on wasting time, if you don't like a post why do you waste your time and energy and comment on such posts

And the topic was on Jai Nair..and here I thought I made it clear from the title..

@Ashvikian_AK: well I didn't like his choreography in 3rd week either..yes the dances are improving but hope he does something noteworthy fast
@simran45: that's where I differ..I don't think he is doing his best every week

@SalaDonkey: hope it does
