After careful observation and the weekend episode, we somehow feel that the contestant is getting special treatment on show, no?
Scarlett Wilson is a talented dancer with no formal training, but she has great potential and we do believe is extremely talented. However, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa is not just about dancing it is also showcases how popular a celebrity is. While Scarlett is a skilled dancer, her fan base is quite limited.
Colors channel has been giving Scarlett special treatment, while we don't mind this partiality; it shouldn't be unfair to the other contestants, no? When the show launch happened a media interaction was organised with every contestant, but a few days later the channel organised another solo round with Scarlett. Now this is cool and we believe may just have helped push the contestant more to be public figure.
The next thing we noticed was that Scarlett was pushed on the other show of Colors - Thapki Pyaar Ki. Scarlett was roped in to perform specially on the character Thapki and Dhruv's engagement. However, we've not seen any of the other contestant doing any of this.
This special treatment became extremely obvious when Scarlett and Irfan Pathan were in the danger zone. After the dance face-off, it was declared that there will be no eliminations. Now this came as a surprise to us, because only two weeks back eliminations were cancelled and now again? This seems a little too soon, no? While we have nothing against Scarlett, it just seems unfair to the other contestants who've also been toiling hard each week. Yes Scarlett performed really well and so did Irfan, but we are sure it couldn't have been that difficult to pick one winner between the two, and by that we definitely are not implying that Scarlett would have been out.
The judges gave them equal scores and vetoed to cancel eliminations this week. We just hope that the other contestants don't feel cheated over this decision.
