I googled 'Mujra' and it says Mujra originated during Mughal era by courtesans. It incorporated elements of Kathak dance onto music like thumris and ghazals

Yeah...but pure classical is very very hard. So, that is why there is no pure classical dance in Bollywood movies.

I hope she goes complete traditional, coy and sedate Paro next week for the desi theme.. and give us a moment with our serene Parvati too..❤️

And can someone who has an idea on classical Indian dancing pls tell which dance type she is doing in each of these snaps and fill me the blanks pls??

2-
________meri jaan_____?

3 -

ok now I think of that I remember watching some of these pure dances in a show called Noor Jahan.. It was a historical drama and there was a lot of pure dancing involved for Mehru-Un-nisa... And it was based on Mughal era completely..

And though it is usually not my thing I watched cz I love Mehru thanks to the actress who played the role..

I doubt many BW movies did as accurate a job as in the DD show,,

Excited for this week I don't want her to do bangra sorry but that's my least favorite dance type.
She can perform to a song from Mughal e azam

I really want to know which dance form Jai chose for the performance. I will accept any dance form they do because I love every classical dance form. Personally, I love Manipuri. It reminds me of something very special to me. Every step is so beautiful. The relationship, the love of Radha and Krishna is portrayed so beautifully and artistically in Manipuri dance. I find that there is something very delicate and subtlety in this dance. But it would be really hard to do on Jhalak.
