i dont know how much dese judges know abt Indian classical dances ...i hope ganesh do hav inputs on it , cauz d way they scored deepika for that indian semi classical number was bad, dat performance surely didnt deserve 10...we all know lauren hav no training in indian classical so we cant expect a fair judgement from her on dat part but as a judge she should learn or watch the mudras n how dey r performed to b scored as 10/10

last year Madhuri was a trained classical dancer so she always use to pin point the flaws and remo also had some experience on classical danc styles but after watching yesterday scoring for deepika i think dese judges are not fit to score indian classical ...cauz just as an audience we were able to see the flaws

I hear you. If there is one thing I am doubting about this season on the dancing level, it's Indian classical/folk. Neither the choreographers nor the judges seem aptly equipped which is why I feel we won't see much of it. And whatever we do won't be of a satisfactory level. But that's just a premonition, I am open to being surprised.

And all the 10s were a joke this week (and last). The performances are not even flawless yet, let alone extraordinary (which is what the Sony seasons awarded full marks to).

I agree ... I think Shahid had the most relevant comments there, as his mother is a trained classical dancer, student of Birju Maharaj, no less ... he must have watched her all his life. He was the only one who knew what he was talking about re: the mudras and postures etc. I'm not a dancer at all, but I've watched a lot of classical dance ... even to my untrained eye, Deepika's hand movements were all over the place.

Lauren giving 10 for that performance was a joke.

I dont think the judges are that qualified to appreciate classical dances for that u need someone like madhuri or geeta kapur.

Vaishnavi is a really good classical dancer but faisal being a muslim must not be that trained in this dance form so i hope he takes on the challenge. I think scarlett is doing indian dance form according to her costume.

I think the reason lauren gave dipika 10 for her classical performance was because she being a non indian she obviously must have less knowledge of this dance form than other dance form and she didnt want to disrespect the dance form.
