Mumbai is not only the city of dreams but is also the financial capital of our country. While many come to fulfill their desire of becoming actors, the city perfectly depicts an emotion shared by millions of people. The desire to become something! But how is their first experience in the city of countless dreams?

Today, we speak to our television stars on their experience when they first came to Mumbai!

Sukirti Kandpal currently seen in Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls: I remember when came to Mumbai I was only 13 years old. My father took me to visit the Gateway of India, Queens Necklace, the beautiful beaches and the crowded city life. I had an amazing and satisfying experience. I spent my life in South Mumbai, studying in Sophia College. I never found the city unsafe.

Vivan Dsena currently seen in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 8: My first day in Mumbai was amazing. I was happy and satisfied as I had my dream of becoming an actor come true. I have always loved the culture and the vibes of Mumbai as city and the fast paced life too.

Niti Taylor currently seen in MTV's Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan: Born and brought up in Gurgaon; I loved my city, even though it wasn't the safest place for girls. The moment I landed on Mumbai airport, I wanted to go back home that very moment. When I looked around I thought to myself, "Bombay is dirty. I should go back!"

But I waited back convincing myself that it would be a pleasurable experience. My sister took me to Andheri station to experience the Mumbai local. Never in my life had I seen so many people! We reached Churchgate, visited Marine Drive and munched on Sev puri enjoying the cool breeze by the shore.

After living in this city for a brief period, I can say that this city has left me hooked to it...Zara haat ke zara bachke yeh hai Mumbai meri jaan!

Jaya Bhattacharya currently seen in &TV's Gangaa: Touchwood, I am one of those lucky people who was called to Mumbai. I did not have to come to the city of dreams and search for work. I am lucky to have met and work with the major stalwarts of the industry. I thank my destiny for gifting me what I have today.

Lovey Sasan currently seen in Star Plus' Saath Nibhana Saathiya: Just like everyone, Mumbai was my dreamland too. I hailed from Jammu to make it big as a Fashion Designer. Since I was yet searching for a breakthrough, I thought of giving auditions for shows. I was lucky enough to bag my first show, Kitni Mohabbat Hain season 2 within a week and I then planned to pursue it as my career.

On the whole my life has been easy inn Mumbai as the major problem of finding a house had been solved as I had my relatives living here. I really feel satisfied and amazed till now with the faced paced life of the city. I love this city.

Amrapalli Gupta currently seen in Zee TV's Qubool Hai: My experience in Mumbai was not stable, it was rigid. I encountered many ups and downs in case of financial problems where I could not afford food. With a lot of hard work, I have achieved success. Apart from this, Mumbai gave me some wonderful memories too. I met my husband Yash here after all! Mumbai was troublesome initially but I am happy that with hard work, I am living a satisfying life too.

Beautiful actress of Bollywood Shamita Shetty is all set to steal millions of heart with her dancing moves on the stage of Colors' Jhalak Dikhala Jaa 8.

After Bigg Boss, this is the second reality show in which Shamita has participated.

Lets hear it from Shamita that how is she preparing herself.

Why did you think of doing Jhalak Dikhla Jaa?
I love dancing and Jhalak is a great show where I can showcase my dancing talent. Its one of the best dancing shows which we have and that's the reason I am here. As it is said that Jhalak Dikhla Jaa is a dancing school and I actually feel like that. Whenever we are on the set, they ring a bell for the lunch break. However, all in all I am very happy to be a part of this dancing show.

How nervous you were before your first performance?
I was very nervous though I didn't show it but I showed it unfortunately during practices.

As Shilpa has judged some of the dance reality shows, so have you taken any tips from her?
As a sister, she do give tips to me whenever required, otherwise she lets me do things on my own. She is really sweet. During one of my rehearsals, she came and gave me tips in context to my appearance and so. She even said "Shamita just dance from your heart and enjoy, forget that there are judges to judge you. Just give your best and rest leave it on your fate."
With which contestants you gel well and you think can become your life long friend?
I think we all have become good friends, everyone is really sweet. We all sit together and have lunch. I already knew some of them but now I getting to know all.

What would you like to say about the new judge panel?
I think the technical judges will give us a hard time. But having said that, all the judges are equally important that what they think about us as we can't disappoint any one of them.

Any particular dance form you a looking forward to learn?
I am looking forward to learn all dance forms not one.

Who is your toughest competitor?
All of them are really tough competitor. When you will watch the first episode, that time you will come to know why I am telling you this because this year we have very good dancers.

Any message for your fans?
Please vote for us (laugh). Jokes apart, I am coming on screen after a long time and we are putting in a lot of hard work. So, please watch us and shower your blessings.

All the best Shamita Shetty!

I am still working hard to get the perfection in my dancing: Mohit Malik

Charming tv actor Mohit Malik is all set to groove on the stage of Colors' dancing show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 8...

Mohit Malik who has shown his amazing acting talent on his last show Doli Armaanon Ki on Zee TV, is all set to showcase his dancing skill with the upcoming dancing reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 8. It is going to be interesting to see Samrat aka Mohit Malik making his identity as a dancer as well. So let's directly go to the man who has won lots of heart, Mohit to know about his expectations from Jhalak...

Here is what he has to say:

You are known as TV perfectionist, so how are you preparing yourself to get into those dancing shoes?

It's been a month now and still I am working hard to get that perfection in me. As, if I am not satisfied in something I don't like it to do. Even in case of acting, I use to work late night for getting my role perfect. Then I would also like to comment on my choreographer Marischa, she is an expertise and I can say this is the reason that I haven't had much injuries compared to others. After I reach for rehearsals, first thing she makes me do is stretching and warming up and only then we start practising.

What are your expectations from the journey of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 8?

My expectation from this journey is to become a better dancer, a better person and make good friends through the show.

Is there any particular act that you want to perform on the show?

Undoubtedly Bhangra (laughs) it makes you move freely but I doubt my choreographer will allow it. Actually, I have done afro cram in my first act which was little difficult so let's see what comes in my way. I am open to any acts that can groom me as a dancer.

Are you upset with the fact that Madhuri Dixit Nene will not be part of the show this time?

Actually yes, she was an integral part of the show and undoubtedly the glamour factor of the show. When I joined the show I so wanted to meet her and shake a leg with her, wanted to have a good conversation as I think she is the biggest star in Bollywood. So, I wanted to work with her but infact more than me it is my father-in-law who is upset for Madhuri not being part of the show, he really wanted to meet her.

What would you like to say to your fans that are eager to watch your dance moves?

To all my fans, firstly I would thank them for showering their love and blessings on me. They have supported me always and would ask the same support from them for my upcoming show as well. And I promise will keep working hard and be capable to earn that important vote from all my fans.

Indeed Mohit is a perfectionist and it will be pleasure to see him perform on Jhalak!

With the most popular faces such as Sanaya Irani, Mohit Malik, Vivian Dsena and likes coming in as participants, we speak to the musician, rapper and singer Raftaar on his excitement to be a part of the show.

Elated about performing on the show, Raftaar averred, "I am very excited to be a part of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa-8 because this show gives you stardom. I performed in DID Doubles to make a name for myself and I am now in Jhalak to attain stardom. I do not want to come across as a rapper but I now plan to make it big as an artist."

Raftaar claimed that he trained himself by watching established dancers and he never learnt dance. After learning dance, he started giving dance classes to earn pocket money.

Shedding some light on the strategy he plans to adopt, he stated, "I never learned dance but I taught for pocket money.

I got accepted in the industry post my stint in DID doubles and I plan to grow not only as a rapper or a musician but also as an entertainer. I will rap and dance at the same time. I am weak at contemporary dance but I will try to work towards it."

Speaking about competition, Rapper Raftaar said, "I think Subhreet Kaur is very talented. I had tears in my eyes when I saw her performing. She is handicapped but she has a strong will do perform and is very focused. I think she is a tough competition."

Rapper Raftaar we wish you luck with your stint in Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 8!

The one legged dancer Subhreet Kaur, rose to fame by participating in India's Got Talent, has now made way to the popular celebrity dance reality show Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 8. Dance is a passion for Subhreet and she is all set to groove on the stage of Jhalak and win everybody's heart again.

In a candid chat with TellyBuzz, Subhreet shares more about her participation in Jhalak, her passion for dancing and much more.

Subhreet says, "I wanted to showcase my dance on the stage of Jhalak and also wanted to learn different dance forms. My motive of taking part in Jhalak is that I wanted to show the world that dance isn't just about by moving your legs but its about your expressions. Dance comes from within. I have worked hard post India's Got Talent to prepare myself mentally and physically so that I can go ahead in the competition and try out a lot of dance forms."

When we asked Subhreet about her preparations for Jhalak and about her passion for dance, she quipped, "Dance is my passion since my childhood and I love to take challenges. I have made my weakness as my strength. I love Belly dancing and I would like to perform it on the stage of Jhalak. The acts are tough but I would like to perform on an act that will resemble the story of my life. Everybody is an amazing dancer on the stage of Jhalak but I love Faisal's (Faisal I Khan) dance. He is like a Chota Packet Bada Dhamaka. I am a fan of Faisal and I am sure he will be giving a tough competition to everyone here."

"I am expecting that my journey with Jhalak is going to be very beautiful and memorable for me." concludes Subhreet.

We wish Subhreet all the best!

5 kickass FITNESS tips from SEXY Lauren Gottlieb

Lauren Gottlieb...the girl who is all about beauty and brains. The super hot and sexy diva, who is known for her remarkable dancing, is also a fitness freak.

The scintillating lady who is all set to judge the coming season of Jhalak believes in living a fit and healthy life. The charming diva has her set of rules to stay in shape.

Here's she sharing 5 fitness tips with the readers of Tellychakkar.com. Over to her

Don't eat past 8pm

This can be extremely tough, especially because we're accustomed to eating late. But you need time for your food to digest before you lay down to sleep. (If not, you will store it in places I'm sure you don't want to).

Sweat once a day

Even if you sweat out 20-30 mins, it will do wonders for you. You will feel physically and mentally awake. (You will thank me later).

Always choose the stairs

I never take the elevator to my flat (Unless I'm in my Jimmy Choo's, wink). Wherever I go actually even if I need to reach the 20th floor, I take the stairs until I can't possibly go another and then I take the elevator the rest. Simple as that. It's honestly mind over matter so each time you try this, without fail you will reach more floors without getting tired.

Smile more often

I believe when you are working out and your body releases endorphins that help reduce your sense of pain and makes you feel positive. Well, just simply smiling will do the same for you. If you're feeling good and are upbeat you are more apt to do things that involve exercising.

Change your workout plan often

Don't let your body get too comfortable in one routine. The key is to trick your body. That's one reason why dance is such a great workout because you are always doing different postures.

For the Tellychakkar.com readers here is my weekly workout chart that one can follow.

Monday- Gym - Start with a bang! Weightlifting (arms/back) and some cardio.

Tuesday- Pilates - Can be done at a studio with machines or as easy as mat pilates which you can do in any open floor space.

Wednesday - Gym - Weightlifting (legs/butt) and some cardio.

Thursday- Yoga - at a studio or at home.

Friday- Cardio - run on the treadmill, outside, beach or wherever your heart desires.

Saturday / Sunday - Stick to things that are fun and trick your mind so that you don't feel as if you are working out. Try finding things to do that involve being outside in the fresh air. Play a sport, bike somewhere instead of driving, go hiking.

Hope you all liked my tips. Do share your comments in the space below.

JHALAK RELOADED: THESE NON-DANCERS WILL LEAVE YOU ASTONISHED WITH THEIR FIRST EVER PERFORMANCE!

posted by Admin, last updated on 10 July, 2015

It was by their own confession that we know Vivian, Mohit, and Sanaya as not pro at dancing'. We would have liked to believe otherwise, given how drop dead gorgeous these men and stunning these women are! However, the premiere episode of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded will leave you astonished.
The self-confessed non-dancer, Mohit Malik's first performance will leave you in awe. This on-screen baddie is actually quite adorable off the screen. Don't believe u? Well, what if Shahid tells you the same? After Mohit's performance, Shahid got up on stage to tell the world, how soft spoken and shy Mohit is in real life! Not only this, there was a live demo given to the audience, where Mohit was made to say the non-romantic dialogues in romantic style. Wanna know who did he romance? Watch this!

Another surprise on Jalak Reloaded Premiere was Vivian. The angry RK is quite romantic, but what you don't know and only his better half Vahbiz does is that Vivian has never danced in his life before! Shocking, isn't it? But, the bigger shock was his first performance on Jhalak. Vivian was not only good but swayam Shahid Kapoor came on stage to congratulate him on his performance. He was later joined by Vahbiz and the two grooved on Rang Sharbaton ka as Shahid looked on!

Sanaya, on the other hand, was too lovely on Jhalak stage as she shook her booty on Lovely ho gayi yaar!' Remember, the disclaimer by Sanaya during Jhalak rehearsals? Something quite opposite happened and you wouldn't like to miss this one!

Catch Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded for more surprises, more dancing and more Shahid! Tune in on Colors this Sat-Sun at 9pm.
