Why can't a professional dancer win??

Every week, Lauren has proved to be a deserving winner and she has worked extremely hard to get this far so of course she has all the rights to win!

I believe the competition should be fair so they should only bring celebs who are also popular with the audience...here, some have an advantage of a huge fanbase, some r trained dancers, few choreographers r judges chelas, and a few unlucky ones who have none..and they get the lowest marks every week 😆 If the winner will be decided only by the votes, it's gonna be unfair..bec. judges are as such biased ...along with that, they have no set parameters..average to excellent performances get 30 !

I disagree with anyone who says that professional dancers like Lauren and Mukti should not be a part of JDJ..the competition should be healthy , it should be tough at the same time...of course, the winner wud not like to compete with dancers like Suresh Menon and Bharti in the finals 😆

ETA Lauren def. deserves to win..but Sana , Mukti and Drashti are fab. dancers...in that order 😉

@Bold:- Absolutely Agree, Even in season 4 Sushant had both talent + popularity still he didn't win and a channel fav Chang won. So Channel backing is the most needed thing. I say JDJ should be on a channel from which no celebs participate. 😆

isha's exit was so fake..and think that's what they will do with soanli-sumant..

I want some bigwig to take sumant under their wing and train him..

On prof dancer winning, i support the cause..the best dancer must win

I don't know. It just seems so unfair to me. I mean, she's a professional dancer, I would prefer is she (and Mukti) competed with other professional dancers, rather than just compete with people she can easily out-dance any day.

I just really hate the fact that Lauren and Mukti are in this competition. Seriously ugh. Lauren does NOT classify as a celeb to me. She's done one movie and she's the winner of an Americain dance show. That's all I know her from. Even Mukti can be considered more of a celeb than her. Idk, that's just me tho.

Professionals competing with non-professionals leaves a bad taste in my mouth. And it sucks because they both are really nice girls (Lauren especially) and I'd like to root for them, but its so unfair to the other contestants.

And yeah, like the other person pointed out, the popular actors with huge fan bases aren't really fair either. I don't know. I always thought that the judges were there to make sure that a person who was a decent dancer but had a low fan base couldn't be eliminated against a person who was a crappy dancer with a high fan base. Idk, this season has been disappointing.

I'm so glad you mentioned that - Sumant has a wonderful potential to become one of the best dancers out there! I'm glad he got more noticed today - even though Sonali being sick is really sad and I wish her to get well ASAP.

Sorry for going off topic but had to say this about Sumant as he really impressed me today with his dancing abilities and his honesty (about not being able to do the dance they wanted to with his partner sick). Someone please go give this brilliant little boy a big hug!!

Therefore, she is more of a celeb than most of the contestants on jhalak.

Whoops, my bad. I didn't know that at all. All I knew was that she was in Remo's movie and is SYTYCD. Okay, so she definitely has the credentials to be considered a celeb. My bad on that, sorry.

But still not here for her and Mukti competeing with non dancers. I would much rather see her compete with the people on DID. That would be much more interesting to see.

I see your point but making her compete on DID would be like getting an actress from Bollywood dancing in So You Think You Can Dance - know what I mean? She's come to bollywood as she loves India and Bollywood and wants to be a part of it. Instead of jumping into another Bollywood movie after ABCD, she said yes to doing jhalak as she wanted to showcase her dancing to India. I agree that she's an amazing and one of the very strong contestants due to her background but I'm glad there are other "trained" dancers and contestants who have huge fan bases to even the playing field.

I always disliked this. People complain that dancers should not be in the show because it puts other contestants at a disadvantage. Well then should they also try to make other things equal? Like people should not be over the age of 35 because clearly someone who is younger would have a physical advantage as they can put more pressure on their body. Same for weight. I mean weight and age are huge factors when it comes to how much the contestants can push themselves. How about popularity because the votes matter just as much as the scores and some celebrities are extremely popular while I have never heard the name of others.

The only requirement of the show is to be a celebrity and I think as long as they fill this requirement it is good.
