JDJ6 7/7/13 WU - Background Dancers + SRK

July 7th 2013 - Written Update



Episode starts from where it had continued from last time. SRK is begging for Madhuri's help from the goons and Madhuri tells him not to worry. She goes on to the stage and yells at the goons in filmy style. SRK thanks Madz for saving his life. She says she was sure he would come but for Chennai Express. He denies it and says that he came to appreciate her and only for his Chandramukhi. She welcomes "Dev Babu" to JDJ and his seat.

Manish welcomes Rohit Shetty while showing the Chennai Express promo in the background. Manish talks about why he blasts so many cars when Rohit says why he never has anything else to ask. Manish then asks what he would like to say about wasting our country's "kala dhan" and Rohit replies saying he is better off asking about cars only. Rohit gets seated with the judges.

Kapil and Manish declare that Shweta and Aarti are in danger zone while the rest are safe.

Lauren & Punit

Manish introduces Lauren as the girl who came from a land "saath samundar par" who did different roles each time. Once she was Durga, another time she was an innocent daughter while recently she had become a sinful doll. But in each role she has only done one thing; won our hearts.

Dance Form: Bollywood/Broadway

Song: Oh La La from The Dirty Picture

SRK: Punit was wholesome, felt like putting some salt and eating him up. Lauren was so graceful, beautiful and energetic. Had seen her working her work before and she was fantastic. Punit must have had a hand because she was performing on an hindi song. Hasn't seen a classy act like this ever.

Rohit: Lauren is not only a great dancer but also a great actor. Asked Punit how long it took him to dress up like the fat lady which he said took him two hours. Fabulous.

Remo: Shown something that he hasn't ever thought anyone would showcase on the stage. Doing Charlie Chaplin is very difficult because it requires a lot of body control. Liked a lot of the flat falls. Fantastic and hats off. 9

Madhuri: Lauren was brilliant. She knows that she is a great dancer but her comic timing is great as well. A "Perfect". 10

Karan: Punit you need to look into the mirror and see how ugly he looks. But the effort put into it is great. Last time he had seen someone done Charlie was Sridevi in Mr.India where he saw a zenith of Charlie. But thought Lauren did much better. Congratulations. 9

Lauren hugs SRK and he kisses her on the cheeks. Kapil says if there was no mustache he would have taken a kiss.

Sid & Sonia

Manish starts off SRK style: Ek ladka tha anjaan sa, rotine ka karkhana sa, ladkiyon se bohot darta tha. Jabhi koi ladki apna rumaal girati toh puchta tha, behen ye rumaal tumhara toh nahi?

Dance Form: Bollywood

Song: Badshah + KANK + Dard-e-Disco

SRK: Fantastic and thanks Sid for performing on his songs. Seen him in Balika Vadhu but never seen him dancing, its always difficult to dance on famous songs. I'm a really bad when shooting. But I thank you tonight for dancing so well.
Sid cuts him off and tells him about how big of a fan Sonia is. She starts crying. SRK says that his biggest problem is that girls start crying and then he has to make them laugh. He goes up to her to hug and kiss her.

Maduri: Saw a different confidence today and he was extremely sincere today. He learnt it like a sincere student and that was hear warming and heart touching. Liked it very much and should continue like this only. Very good. 8

Remo: He is the hero of the show and that showed today in all three songs today. Showed different levels of dancing in three different songs but needed to be soft on the romantic one. Otherwise great job. 8

Karan: Felt like he was watching a medley from award functions. Very entertaining, very colorful. He should always keep the hero-like quality but its time to shake that up a bit. 8

Manish asks SRK to show Sid how to do romance with girls and be shy.


SRK and Madz do the Dil Toh Pagal Hai act (with a bit of comedy and romance instilled into it). Manish bows down to SRK after he did the act. SRK praises Madz and vice-verse (Madz almost cried).
Sid asks for Sana to propose while SRK warns him to not do the same thing as he is still her father. SRK keenly watches when Sid is romancing with Sana.
Get to see SRK and Sana's interaction where is finding it extremely hard to believe that she has grown up so big.

Shaan & Marisha

Manish says that this next contestant is someone who first came into JDJ as dancing ke "fusku" but now he dances it's the time to disco secretly. Presenting my name is Shaan and I'm not a tourist with mirchi hot Marisha.

Dance Form: Pasa Doble/ Freestyle

Song: Aaja gufao me from Aks

SRK: Sings "Mein hoon Shaan" to intoduce Shaan. Found it absolutely wonderful. He is a great singer who has done many of his songs and takes the opportunity to thank him for those. He felt really charged seeing him.

Remo: The act that Marisha has set with the vampire and pasa doble. It was commendable, fantastic and Shaan deserves to be here. 9

Madhuri: Really nice but just somewhere it was lacking. It was nearly there but knows that Shaan will make up. Otherwise outstanding. 9

Karan: Felt that the choreography was of an international level, like watching a broadway theatrical. It was the best this weekend. 9

Drashti & Salman

Manish says that who knew borivali's gujarati daughter would then become Madhubla. Presents Drashti & Salman.

Dance Form: Acrobacia/Contemporary

Song: Aao huzur tumko remix

Remo: The reason for the smile is because performances like these can prove how far a challenge can be taken too. The ancient ritual concept was done brilliantly with the soul being released at the end. The choreography was done greatly as well. This is it. 10

Madhuri: The whole act was different and unique. Had no words to describe; it just stood out. Shows how dedicated Drashti is for dancing with bruised knees. Maar dala and perfect. 10

Karan: Takes a lot of courage because the performance can go just flat. It was absolutely fantastic. Batameez performance. 10

Drashti says a few lines for SRK on the JTHJ way and to which SRK comes on stage saying the JTHJ lines.

SRK: It was absolutely stunning, especially Salman who has choreographed her so well. God bless.

Karan & Sneha

Manish says that the next performer is like baazigar, who is slowly climbing the steps of success.

Dance Form: Garba/Bharatnatyam

Song: Radha Kaise Na Jale + Kisna + Jashne Bahara Hai

Madhuri: Have a soft corner for indian classical. The incorporated lifts and spotting while doing spins were great. I like that KVB is improving each day, keep it up. 9

SRK: It was a fantastic act. The effort put in to it was very nice.

Remo: Nice to see a indian dance. But needs to have the grace was missing which needs to be improved. Otherwise it was very good act. 8

Karan: Tried very much to do the performance well but the grace wasn't there. However for next week break the myth of not being able to go home with a 10. 8

Sonali & Sumanth

Manish: One is 10 inch and the other is 12 inch but the talent is so much that the inches don't make a difference. Once again Sonali & Sumanth are coming to make a place in everyone's hearts.

Dance Form: Freestyle

Song: Oye Lucky Lucky Oye + Chennai Express (1,2,3,4)

Karan: Both the kids were fantastic as usual. Was really energetic and liked the twist of CE at the end. Fully commercially entertaining paisa vasool performance. 9

Madhuri: Well done Sonali, so cute. The way Sumanth lifts her is great, my god. Very good, out standing as usual. 9

Remo: Kamal ka performance tha. Sonali improved on the expressions and lip syncing. Very very good. 9

SRK: Sonali is a very old friend, has learnt one word in bengali. Your performance was fatafati.

SRK and Madz dance on Chennai Express song. While Remo and Karan judge the two. All the judges try their best not to say anything bad while Manish mocks the judges. SRK and Madz act like contestants.

Jaan Ke Liye Dance

Shweta and Savio come first and dance to Dhoom Tana in bollywood style. Cornell and Aarti present after on Saibo doing contemporary.

Shweta is eliminated.

Aarti & Cornell

Dance Form: Waltz/Freestyle

Song: Aao Na from Kyun ho gaya na

Madhuri: The song chosen was romantic and soft. Liked how the dancers were used with little props, seemed ambient. Act was sweet, good. 8

Remo: Was a soft and simple. Expressions were good and dance movements were nice. But Cornell needed to be more innovative. Nice simple act. 8

Karan: Pretty act but costume could have been better. Cornell needed more inspiration in the choreography. Up to mark but not above level. 8

Rohit talks about direction and makes the three judges do a scene where Madz is a new hot girl in college. Remo is the shy guy who loves Madz but is afraid while KJo is the rich macho guy. SRK gives background music.

SRK and Rohit thank everyone and say goodbye.
