I don't get it... please help

OK this is quite confusing. Last year, there was a celeb from a different show who participated in JDJ. What was her name?... (thinking)...

Jia Manek, is that what her name was? I believe she was the main lead in one of the daily shows shown on different channel (was it StarPlus?). Anyway, so she was kicked out and apprently there was a lot going on in regards to that - basically that she couldn't participate in JDJ because that was shown on different channel and her daily show was on different channel. My question is that Shewta is doing the exact same thing this year - she's part of Parvarish on Sony and she's also participating in JDJ on Colors. Since I didn't hear any news about anybody getting excited about Shewta doing two shows at a time for different channels, then why was there a big issue last year with Jia?

I'm sorry for bringing this up but I don't understand though. Two people, exact same situation, but different outcome????

jia was in star plus that was the problem SP don't allow other channel are flexible .

u can see no stars from sp

Star plus had a problem with it and gave her an ultimatum. Even though this would be done outside her contracted hours, they wanted to control they hold, she choose not carry on and took part in jdj. I think it was one of the first time it had happen. This time of behaviour had been linked to Etka Kapior before but not a channel, to my knowledge.
However most don't have a problem like a Sony or in Nach Balitw which aired on Star they had actors from Zee like Suhasi. However you never know the politics behind it all.

View Asia is just for the UK! both are actually rival channels!

Sony TV is a part of Sony Television Network (Sony, SAB, SET Max, Sony Six). Colors is owned by Viacom 18 (also own MTV, Rishtey, Nickelodeon, etc)! Sony, Colors, Zee, Star Plus are all rivals.

Colors recently got Sony's best stars on it's channel like Shweta in Jhalak, Kapil in Jhalak and his Comedy Nights show, and Ram Kapoor in Sanskaar... weird channel politics going on! Colors seems to be agressively trying to increase TRPs by using popular Sony stars.

I think Colors is helping Sony, as the channel has very pathetic GRPs, its hovering around 150-160 points, while Colors is mostly above 180 and crosses 200 many times 😆

SP is a channel which is always insecure about the popularity of its rival channels 😆

Zee is a gracious channel in that regard, they allowed GC to participate in JDJ last year, they have allowed Suhasi in NB5 and Ekta in JDJ!

The fact is SP has more Ratings than its rivals, but still has these kind of issues 👎🏼
