jdj is no more a dance competition
its about glamour nd comedy...
other shows i hv seen..rarely shift their focus from prime objective...i.e DANCE...as of jhalak..its more scripted..i mean its nt like if comic hosts arent there then we wont watch it...what is missing is pure dancing...contestants nd choreographers should be there in the highlight bt its just these namesake judges nd comedy...
we want pure dancing nt lifting nd throwing...involve it..bt only to an extent...fusions are nt always appreciable...garba song is used for puppet dance..it wud hv been bttr if kittu hd done garba on it...bt no..
they r too much into entertainment...
wasting potential of talented contestants...

although there have been a few topics on how jdj should be done and how much ACTUALLY it is done...

You know, with all the shit that they fill in in one episode, it almost seems like the contestants and the dance are the FILLERS... And the main episode is just an amalgamation of batshit.

I remember the times when one pure dance form was stressed upon. Like, if they attempted Waltz, they wouldn't do any major lifts as such, because Waltz doesn't have many lifts to begin with...

But here, almost every other contestant does some form of contemporary. And pass it on as some khichdi to us.

Shakti's teri deewani was brilliant! And it was pure out and out Ballet. And that's why that dance stayed with me for the whole week. But after that, it just became monotonous. It felt as if all she is doing is stretching and all Tushaar is doing is lifting her like some sort of dumbell, and throwing her here and there. I am tired of this.

I don't know how much tweeting them would be effective. But if tweeting has to start, there should be a common hashtag or something, where you put in want you want directly from Jhalak.

More than anything, I am disappointed in the judges who have become absolutely useless. All KJo does is display Tharak, all Madhuri does is Issh, and Ohho... And All Remo does is That's how you roll it.

That is how exactly I feel too.. For them, performances are like advertisements in between movies/serials that nobody is interested in...

Very well written post...JDJ is not a dance shw...since the time it has came on colors it is a fiction shw wth comedy and masala...anyhting and every thing related to JDJ is scripted and based on trp gme...This seasons is all HAWT and Happening wth not soo funny antics and appearances...Judging is a major let down in jdj bcz evn a professional choreographer like Remo hav completly lost it ...Madhuri Dixit is just a glamour girl who dance wth every other celeb and nothing mre...and i dnt evn knw y Kjo is a part of tis shw...I dnt wnt to tak abt wht thy made Max do in jdj platform...I recommend all the judges to watch the judging of season 3 by Saroj ji,Juhi chawla and Vaibhavi so tht thy can learn wht is judging called...Jdj is just for Glamour,Glamour and Glamour...

why don't they try indian dance forms on this show ?😡 it's a big question for me...

My thoughts are on the same level to some extent! What i llove about dwts..they stick to rules...a jive is a jive! A tango is a tango! Judges dont appreciate lifts or aerial acts at all! If u watch meryl and maks jive. I was blown away!! Such clean footwork! Not even a single lift in the whole routine...pure dance and all of it was jive! This is what i want to see. Shakti's kamli was not even a tango. There is a certain way you move your legs ina tango..again meryl and maks' argentine tango was mesmerizing. However i disagree with the statement that the choreography in dwts is simple..you really need to have lot of practise to master that footwork and those postures. I wish jdj would be that way!!!!
