If DD doesn't wish him, it's fine but it's expected of GC or any of her other costars to wish her. Hypocrisy at its best. Hope Ranvir improves more. He's getting better though.

And that's more of a reason to acknowledge his hosting skills than anything else. He is not obligated to praise any XYZ in particular just for the heck of it.
