I really have no idea if giving the center stage for Elena in Yesterday's Maksim performance was intentional or not.

Maybe it was unintentional.

I like the starting bits where Maksim danced with every girl.

It was a sore disappointment 👎🏼 when Elena and Maksim were dancing in the center and the four girls were dancing around them.

I feel very bad..

Not only with this particular dance but anywhere I see foreigners given more importance than Indians.

They can be given importance when they are more talented and I agree talent has to be encouraged.

But why this type of treatment or choreography when Indians are equally or more talented than the foreigners.

Maybe I am looking too much into it..but seeing this happen every now n then makes me feel really bad.

How I wished Indians would respect each other and treat each other the way they treat foreigners.

We should respect ourselves if we want to be respected.

And above all is not only in the context of performance but also something which I observed in real.

I really dont know if anyone can understand this or not and I dont feel I can sum up what I felt or feeling in words.

Relax dear..it was just a dance...and the girls did dance with maks...I agree later on they gave more of max n elena but that's okay..elena is also a guest like max only that she is a chroe and will stay for long..so I think it was fine..I did not see it as letting Indians down personally I really wanted a elena n maks dance sequence...they did remind me of DWTS...but yeah no one can beat maks n meryl

As I said above,

I was speaking not only about the dance but in general too.

I didnt understand why so much money was invested to bring elena as choreographer.

From her performances with Karan or her solo I didnt find anything SO great that is missing from Indian Choreographers.

When there are equally or more talented choreographers right here then why so much importance to a choreographer who isnt even matching upto them?

Then I kinda disagree...it's too quick to judge her...n personally I love her dancing..I didn't like her intro act..it was too OTT.but her duo with Karan..I personally liked her in that...she is really good in ballroom..n with those big heels her legs were perfectly moving...not to forget they always were heels while doing such performances...she might have problems in Indian dance forms though..to get the right stance n all but I really wanna see 2 to 3 more performances of hers...as I said too soon to judge her..

I agree with you on this...I too felt Elena was given too much importance...maybe unintentional but was evident! I felt he should have continued just the way he did in the start...dancing with every choreo...Elena is amazing in ballroom but Indian girls were no less in the performances...they deserved more light!

considering the dance form they chose, only elena was matching upto him in partner work
despite that he danced with each girl in the beginning.

I don't see whats wrong with that.

if we can have a foreigner as a choreo, we should give her equal chance as well and if she can do the dance better she should be in middle.

I was disappointed on many counts and ashamed as an Indian to the assine drama they put on but this opening act was not one of them

I agree
I felt like that as well whilst watching it but hen ignored it thinking it was a coincidence but I guess it wasn't. Elena was being given much more importance than the other girls. I don't know whether this was Maks' decision or somebody else's but it was genuinely wrong he should hv had danced equally with everyone

Although i agree with you point that foreigner are given more importance generally but in this case, I think they did the right thing bcoz lot of controversies can be created if a male foreigner is shown doing certain dance steps with Indian female dancers as some people just like to raise issues.
