I simply loved salman and Lauren's performance but I felt it was not depicting the theme of Indian Dance. Don't get me wrong yes there were elements of indian style but it wasn't a proper Indian dance. I know it was karmagraphic which has a blend of indian but according to me an Indian theme shoyod had pure indian dance forms and we have great styles like kathak, bharatnatyam, kuchipudi etc etc. If they wanted to do a fusion the theme should have been fusion as indian dance them should have pure indian dance forms. Morover I feel when contestants can perform pure international styles, why can't they perform pure indian ones? Anyhow nowadays in all reality shows 90% focus is on international styles and indian dances are just limited as themes for a week.

P.S: this are just my views. I'm not criticising anyone so plz just chill before commenting

agree..they could have atleast one episode totally devoted to Indian classical dance forms..esp when our culture is rich with so many beautiful dance styles.

exactly there is not even a single show which focuses on indian styles. So atleast one week should be pure classical

It would be nice to see some Indian classical dances on Jhalak but I think these dances are very difficult to learn/master in a week compared to western styles. Contestants would probably end up look really clumsy. From what i have heard Mouni is trained in Kathak and I hope she and a few others attempt pure classical this week. This is her week to shine.

yes they are diffiult but atleast they can try. There are some dance forms which can be easily learned. I also hope mouni uses her experience and performs classical. Morover tushar is also trained in some form so I hope he and Shakti also doe at go for fusion

I guess it is because not all dancers are good at classical dance forms..Say for example, Salman-Lauren, they are not good at Pure Indian classical forms as they weren't trained in them..
I guess you may get to see pure classical performance in next week performances from Shakti-Tushar as Tushar is trained Indian classical dancer..I am expecting from Mouni also as she is trained in Khatak and from Deepak and Shampa also as they are also good at classical dancing.
It depends on contestants dancing training , we can't expect them all contestants to be good in classical.

that's my point they should take choreographers which has atleast fair enough knowledge of classical styles or like it happened in past, they can take external help and as far as contestants are concerned even international styles are new to them

Tushar is a brilliant classical dancer and whenever he has given us few glimpses of his classical, I have been bowed over by his performance..so really looking forward to that!
