This season, from what I realized from the premier night, has every potential to be a great one. Perhaps I am overstating things a bit too soon, but I saw some real spark in the season which was sorely missed in the last two.
Pros-
1. Almost all the performers can dance, and dance well.
2. Lots of good experimenting which I hope they keep up as the show progresses.
3. No one is overhyped or overrated as of yet. No insane fanbase of any celebrity.
Cons-
1. Palak. While Kiku is a good dancer, he is ridiculously unfunny as Palak.
2. Hosts- Strangely enough Drashti was actually not as bad I was expecting. Instead it was torture sitting through Ranvir's monotone. Unless they switch him immediately, this season will fall flat on its face in spite of having every potential to shine.
Mouni and Punit were nice tonight, they just needed to focus more on the dancing and less on the visual. Ashish is a surprisingly good dancer. Karan Tacker's act was too gimicky-filmy for my taste, very Drashti-Shweta Tiwari-ish. I am really looking forward to Puarb's performance tomorrow which looked beautiful from the sneak peaks. Also, Shakti and Tushar. I am ecstatic that Shakti is paired with Tushar. Last season Tushar and Sana were fabulous together, but Tushar was badly robbed. This season I genuinely want Tushar to take the trophy home along with Shakti. Whom did you people like tonight?
