Disclaimer :
This is totally my view and i have no intension of hurting anybody. Just stating the fact.

Its just not about true talent of already trained dancers like Lauren , Sushant , Ekta or extremely popular celebs like Drashti , Gurmeet , etc

The not so popular contestants who don't grab the limelight of public on daily basis also do a fabulous job by proving their feat . Many such contestants put their hardwork and sweat ...Their dedication and sweat is always sidelined .

No need for disclaimers , we all are educated and are here for healthy discussions😃

Jhalakh dikhla jaa dancing with stars .. name of show itself gives us lot of inside of show... its dancing with stars.. and how exactly star value depicted .. its from popularity... so who gets pro in both... will be winner... see if ur trained .. very very good dancer but not popular then how will u reach next level in same way ... u extremely popular.. but didn't even show even inch of improvement in dance... then also u can't survive in show... at the end of day its reality show pure business ... so bringing all kind of celebs be it dancers.. or non dancers then only drama will create ..means imagine.. all dancers r pro and everyone getting 30 marks.. how much dull show will look same for vice verca .. at that time competition might fair but that will not bring TRP at the end of day audiance want entertainment only... and its not necessory that only trained dancer can bring entertainment.. means if non dancer celeb shows lot of improvement then audiance will enjoy that particular celeb more as it will add sense of drama than celeb who might be performing consistently perfect

It most definitely favors popular celebrities rather than the one who put out a good show. That being said, I'm only watching it because it's entertaining. I couldn't care less about who wins because everyone improves in each episode, and I get to see some truly terrific dance performances. And also, there's Madhuri Dixit. :D

Entertainment and dance is what we should look forward to . Cheers :D
But at the end of the day its the question of those 13 contestants who work hard and instill their blood and sweat ..:)
Btw I loved your reply . Lets hope we get heaps and heaps of watch-worthy performances and loads of fun 😃

But then if the statement you mentioned is legit , why do they approach trained dancers like Shakti , Mouni and Andy?
They should fairly stick to the non-dancers right :)

I agree
people should stop claiming it as a non-celeb dancers show
Every contestant deserves to perform and try his luck whenever approached by the channel .

i think the person that can dance and is the most popular wid the votes wins

but now they have lauren n sal as challengers so this yr will be defo be an interesting mix n might be a game changer

so if jdj was the journey of a non-dancer to a dancer then why do they have expert dancers like lauren n sal coming to challenge em cuz the only two people that could take on lauren and sal are either shakhi or mouni cuz they r both trained

Its a blend of both, popularity and dance!
Its dancing skill that actually made some people extremely popular among audiences! As in the audiences do judge by dance too!
Or else how would you explain Lauren reaching the finals?
That may be partially bcoz of her popularity but majorly coz of her unprecedented dancing which everyone loved!!

So reaching the finals is not a miniscule achievement, its massive!

As far as winning is concerned sometimes we tend to listen to our hearts and support the celebrity we love instead of thinking practically and voting for the better dancer!
And its not only about how good they are as dancers, its about how.much they improved throughout the journey!

Everyone knows yaar! It's a popularity show more than a dancing show. It's all about dirty politics in reality shows. We watch them for our favorite stars or simply for the art of dancing. The best thing is keep your expectations low and then you'll be able to sit back and enjoy the drama. :)

*Fingers crossed though that a deserving contestant wins.*

+1 Exactly my opinion. 👏

Last year one of the judges said that they approach trained dancers to be contestants so they can raise the bar for all the other contestants aka all the non-dancers.

So I personally think that trained dancers as contestants are used to pressure other contestants to perform better, and I have seen that more often than not, trained dancers make it to the final rounds but do not win the trophy. Trained dancers are there to act as competition and in the end the contestant who provides them stiff competition wins.

Note: This is just my opinion about JDJ generally but I could be wrong because I haven't watched all seasons.

Guys , I myself am rooting for Shakti ..I was saying that the channel wouldn't have approached the celebs if it was unfair ...😆
