I would just like to share something with all of you Prachi fans, as you know I was one big supporter for Prachi (never seen Kasam se) because she came accross as a affable, bubbly, enthusiastic young girl on the show (which she is) and I loved her for that. I was disappointed that she was out of the show.

I could forget her re-entry controversy, her calling Jeetendra as 'babul' or even the winks and cute faces she would make to garner votes & scores. Because she still was working hard and was a good dancer.

What was the final straw and totally made me loose respect for her, was the fact that she was there to compete as the Bubble young (barely legal) girl Prachi (whom i initially loved), then why was it that in the final stages (last couple of weeks) when she asked for vote - She asked them as BANI AND NOT PRACHI.

This was a dance show, she need not have said (5 times in sat episode) that I am your Fav Bahu, "hoon tamari vau choon". The fact is she is barely legal to marry and there she was asking for votes as the nations fav Bahu ! Why did she use the crutches of her screen character if she was competing as Prachi ? was she not confident enough to win competing as only Prachi or was the competition from Jay / Sandhya too hot to handle ? Why did she not have confidence in herself i.e. Prachi Desai.

Even last year Jassi (before finals) had worn Salwar Kameez, a pony, specs and braces and was out campaigning for votes as Jassi ! I hated her for that. Why ask people to vote for Jassi, when she was competing as mona.

My respect for Ronit / Jay / Sudha has increased as they are very popular TV characters but never asked votes as Mr.Bajaj or Ramola Sikand. They competed as themselves and remained true to themselves.

Would want Prachi fans view here, dont you guys feel that she should have competed only as Prachi and not herself remind everyone that she was their Fav Bahu Bani. Please be honest and unbiased (if possible). Also please stick to the topic.

First of all it was ALWAYS the HOSTS (Rohit and Mona) who repeatedly harped about being the "youngest Bahu" etc. Very very rarely did they ever take her name, it was always "bahurani" that came out of the HOSTS mouths!

Secondly, the ONLY time Prachi ever said anything to the effect of being a "bahu" was when Jay commented in the FINALE that please leave Gujrat for him, to which she simply responded "I am the Gujurati Bahu and BETI". She never presented herself as a "bahu" as such. It was always Prachi we saw and not the silent and introverted Bani bahu.

Yes she is popular because of her character of Bani but she was not Bani in Jhalak, she was only Prachi and to say that she presented herself as her onscreen character is incorrect. Per me, she has managed to break out of that Bani shell yet somehow people insist that she can only be Bani and not Prachi. I think we all need to draw the line between reel and real. As far as I'm concerned, Bani was never "bubbly" nor did she ever make "cute faces" and such things.

Zero, i request you to please see the video of sat episode. In that there are 5 times when she has said she is 'Bahu', 3 times in Hindi and 2 times in gujju (i was counting). It was not in response to jay. After she gave her first performance and got 30, she made a vote appeal asking audience to vote for their fav Bahu.

I agree that the anchors also played their part initially and refered to her as Bahurani and bani earlier. But in the final round, she herself was asking votes as Bani. SOmething which she could have refrained from. I feel that even if she did not remind people of her being bani, even then her character is so closely bonded with audience that she would have got the votes.

My opinion is that she need not have been a party to this herslef (no probs if the hosts said so) infact she should have even corrected the hosts that she is not Bahurani but she is PRACHI. People should vote for Prachi if they like her dance and not because she is Bani the Bahu.

Didnt Sandhya kept on reminding ppl that she was Bahu once? If she believed in her talent so much, I dont think she would even had any need to keep on harping about she being Bahu once.

Didnt other contestants like Ronit also take his on-screen character names? Oh but I forgot, anything other ppl do is never a mistake but everything PD does is a mistake. My fault to even expect a fair treatment.

I used to watch KS few months ago. Bani on-screen is totally different to Prachi. As far as I remember, Bani does not giggle, does not jump, do not talk in a cute voice. PD has been herself as far as I know. But if you keep on insisting, then your call.

Bye.

Excuse-me, which show were you watching ? Sorry but Sandhya never asked for votes as any bahu-shahu ! She just replied to the question posed on the popularity of Prachi by saying that she knows the power of being a TV bahu and has been one herself years ago.

Sandhya never said that I am your Bahu and vote for me, it was Prachi. So get the facts right.

Itwas not just in the final, PD has said a lot of times abt being their fav Bahu.

Sorry, Sandhya did say that she was also bahu once and she said she knows what it is to be like one. I think that is reminding ppl that she was also a bahu once. Yes, Sandhya did not ask ppl to vote for her bahu image. In fact, more than Prachi, seems like Sandhya was more concerned about Prachi's bahu image. Sandhya was the one who kept on repeating about Prachi's popularity and her bahu image.

Prachi did say talk about her being a bahu. It would have been wrong, if She gave rubbish performance and then said vote for your bahu. BUT She worked hard and gave good performances. Everyone in the show was refering to her as bahu that includes Sandhya. So what is wrong in Prachi saying the same? But let me remind your, she did not behave like Bani. She was being herself. Everyone was doing different antics to get ppl. Ronit said he was their Mihir and all. And please, really stop assuming that others are fools. Just because Prachi says vote for your bahu, no one is gonna vote for her just like that. Had she never been in danger zone before, you can tell ppl blindly vote for her. But that was not the case.

I agree that she was giving good performances, but then that does not justify her asking votes as Fav Bahu (repeatedly). I agree that Sandhya was concerned and why will she not be ??? If you know that your opponent is going to use a weapon on you which has got no connection with dance, then as a competitor you must make note of it.
Sandhya only replied to Mona's question about popularity of a TV Bahu. Never asked for votes based on that.

If you feel that no one would have voted for prachi even if she said that she was their fav Bahu, then why did she say that ??? WOuld not it be much better if she had never mentioned that part at all. Her win would have been more graceful and no one would have questioned her win due to popularity. By asking votes as Bani, she herself gave opportunity to people to say that she won only coz of her Bani image.

I have said in my post that you are her fans i understand, but if you see it from a unbiased perspective then it will be obvious that she should not have asked votes as Bani Bahu when she was competing as Prachi Desai.

My one sore point about Prachi was that she always never mouthed the words of the lyrics during the dances. Even the judges caught her doing that a few times and she always told them she would try to improve on that and she never ever did. The only time i saw her mouth the words were in one of the finale dances, and i thought, finally, even then it was as she was a little off on the lyrics.

On the other hand, Sandhya was always mouthing the words of the songs during her dances, making it even more difficult. she should have just not bothered to work so hard to remember the lyrics and the dances and coordinate them.

edited to add this, if people think that votes were only cast for Prachi, think again. Votes were cast for Prachi and Bani as much as some people would like to argue with that.

Yes, I also wish that she did not say vote for your Bahu. But I dont hold her for that, not because I like her. But Because, if ppl really take that seriously and vote for her just because she is a bahu, then it's public's fault. It is so dumb of them to do that.

ReemAnshu, The problem I have here really is. Everyone is not giving enough credits when it is due. I have always said that Sandhya is technically a good dancer which she is. But really how many accept that Prachi is indeed good and she also worked hard and it is not her Bani image that really won? I am not saying her Bani image did not help her at all. But it was not as if she did not dance and ppl just voted because she was Bani. Like last year, Shweta was way better than Mona but ppl voted for her ppl she was jassi. But this year, the case is different. Both were at par and the rest was left to public to decide whom they like.

Prachi did give her best. Infact Prachi worked more hard, managing KS and then rehearsals. I think it is really demeaning to say that she won only because of her bahu image. I really hate when I see comments like that. Especially when the marginal difference between the so called best dancer and Prachi 's scores is very very small unlike last season where Shweta and Mona's scores had big difference.

One thing that is really cruel and demeaning to a human being is not giving enough credits.

I am no fan of Ekta. In fact I dislike that lady very very much. But I do not agree to blaming someone else just because of Ekta. Just one thing, you mentioned previously that it is human nature to blame Prachi even if she was not the one who decided on wildcard. Agreed. But if Sandhya really had a problem with Wildcard, instead of taking out her anger on Prachi, she should have spoken to Sony. Why did she not? I dont understand why anybody did not find it wrong especially since everyone keeps on saying that Sandhya is frank and speaks her mind without thinking about consequences. Had she spoken to Sony about it and opposed it saying it was unfair instead of taking her anger on Prachi, I would have touched her feet. But she did not. She was being just another human being who was looking at her own benefits, I mean who would want to oppose Sony when she is taking part in the show. I am not gonna say it is wrong. Just like Prachi was looking at her wanting to be in the show, Sandhya was doing the same. But, I felt it is wrong when her fans made out as if Sandhya is the best human being in the world with no flaws and frank behaviour.

Frankly I have a lot more things to say about Sandhya but I never made multiple posts to put her down or keep on saying the same things over and over again. I do talk about Sandhya only when PD is dragged in the issue. But show me one Sandhya related post where PD was not put down?

My take is: Neither Sandhya nor Prachi is prefect. Both have flaws. They are mere human being like us with flaws. But making out one person to be god by putting down others, I dont think it is right. Also, making personal judgments about them when we dont even know, I dont it is right. It is still somewhat okay to judge a person from their own on-screen behaviour. However, putting down other, judging ppl from third party news reports and making assumptions and telling that she begged (as if they were present when she was begging) are wrong. There is nothing demeaning than that. In fact, when they were trying to put down PD, they were giving very bad impression of themselves by making statements like "she begged", "godmother".

Anyways, The show has ended. I really think the winner is deserving. She was at par with the so called the best. I have no problems with the show. Had it been any other good dancer brought into the show via wildcard, I would not had any problems if the contestants is deserving. I am open to it. Ultimately this is an entertainmemt show and both of the contestants already have their own careers. It is not as if winning this competition is what gives them life. This is gonna be my last post about JDJ. Enough has been said and I stand by what I say. I rest my case. Bye.
