It amazes me how we find any little reason to condem and judge. The kind of venom that we're all capable of and that has been shown on this forum is truly very . We all read the article dated December 13, 2007, about Prachi getting some days off this week and Jay not getting off. Obviously some people are making a big stink about it being unfair etc on the part of Balaji Telefilms.
To quote the article: "Meanwhile, Prachi Desai says, "Balaji has been extremely encouraging and Ekta has supported me whole-heartedly. I am very thankful to them. They have given me four days off to rehearse. In fact I have been very unwell for two days and I have injured my leg as a table fell on me earlier, but I'm continuing rehearsals. In fact when Ekta saw me so unwell, she gave me one more day off."
Prachi Desai's mother says, "Yes, she has been given four days off from Kasamh Se by Ekta....However, Prachi has injured her leg as she had a fall in Baroda. She will rehearse only during night time. Last week, too, she was given some days off for the finals."

It may or may not be another case of preferential treatment but you will also note that the circumstances are totally different. Per the article, while there is no mention of Jay being unwell or hurt, it is blantantly mentioned that Prachi has been very unwell and maybe that is why Ekta didn't grant Jay leave this week. Last week she granted both leave for rehearsals. But of course some of us have convientiently overlooked that part of the article OR maybe that part of the article will be judged to be untrue. 😕
P.S. If I'm not mistaken, the episodes are canned one week in advance(not the elimination episodes, the actual Friday performances) so the performances we will see tommorow were actually canned LAST WEEK, which is what the janta will be voting on. The rehersals mentioned in the article are in reference to the performances that will be shown Saturday where all of the contestants (past and present) will grace the Grand Finale.
Again, Saturday all of the contestants (past and present) will be performing which will have no bearing on the public voting because the voting lines will be closed Saturday morning.
Since some of us rely so heavily on articles, feel free to refer to the following:
