Wrong discussion is taking place here. Most of the votes were from the public and do you guys think they care about postures, variety in dance forms and other technical things?
It all boils down to who is most popular. Look at Mahi making up to fourth place and that too because she was eliminated by the Judges' votes. I think she would have won it all if the decision between 4 was left to public voting.
Shushat and Shampa - Sushant and Ankita are part of an old serial - which has run out of steam - watched by many who are not into watching dance shows and almost never would vote. They are part of a serial that has no appeal for youths and mostly the youths vote and decide the winners in all reality shows. By the way Shushant-Sampa were my favorite jodi to win the title.
Yana and Salman had no fan base. Salman is not hugely popular but acted as if he was the real celebrity always keeping Yana in the shadows even when dancing, appealing for votes or talking with judges. I was confused many time as to who was the contestant (Celebrity)? Even anchors invented name for them with abbreviated Salman first as "SALyana"
Chang and Marisha were like just right, easy going jodi who on many occasions admitted their short comings and came across as just 2 innocent people who were trying extremely hard to please the aam junta and aam junta were pleased and voted for the pair and made them the winners although I never thought they would be the ultimate winners.
So forget about all the technicalities and respect the aam junta's votes.

^^ I think aam junta was on sushant's side too. all the ppl around me thought that though chang was good....sushant was more deserving but yes they weren't the voting types.

Even when results were to be declared and madz was walking around the contestants....audience was taking Sushant's name.

Ppl may not understand technicalities but they can figure out what good dancing is. If you check fb page of JDJ...most of them are rooting for sushant....so the youth factor is there. Krushna was entertaining...easily relatable but was eliminated

I don't think voting ws ever considered....it was on whims and fancies of the jdj producers otherwise Shekhar would have come more than once in the danger zone.

Reality shows' concept has become lil old......we may enjoy watching but it is rare that we vote.....so advertising is a bigger revenue than votes and maybe this is why jdj for the first time introduced online voting.

Anyway chang's been made the winner....there is no point crying over spilt milk.

I also want to add...that it doesn't help that people are so quick to form judgements about personalities. Oh let's just label Ankita as arrogant and that gives us the right to dismiss her dancing skills! 😕 ALL Ankita was regarded as on this show was arrogant, having an attitude, bossy etc. Hardly anyone bothered to notice her grace, fantastic expressions, finesse and personality she brought to her dancing. It's upto people whether they like a particular celebrity or not...but what bothers me is the complete disregard for dancing skills on a frickin' DANCE show
Soo true, every single contestant was known positively, cute Chang, chhota package (cute), Yana good dancer and Shekhar, Daya, Ragini etc all nice karacters. Except for Ankita. Everyone has at least few bad shades in his/her karacter, In the show the whole image of Ankita was arrogant an bossy and still she came that far. Ankita never said something bad about an other contestant. I for example have a friend who also is very bossy but everyone just adors her. She may talk the wrong way but her heart is pure of gold. Mahi could point out a positive thing about Ankita while she was imitating her but she didn't. That for me shows some of the karacter of Mahi.
Who knows how far Ankita would get if the judging was better and she was set positive in the limelight.
I also didn't liked Gurmeet, host making fun of Ankita and Sushant's love, the saat phere thing. Sushan't and Ankita clearly love each other and he was again only pointing out the arrogance of Ankita. Being dominating doesn't mean you don't have a good heart. Gurmeet also could have made a comment about the "dedicated love" (performance) Ankita and Shushant have for each other. It's a small example how comments can have huge effects.

I think the discussion is not wrong because the judgement affects the viewers thoughts.
Also the last days to the finale Chang was being promoted as the most improved contestant and that's why on this forum I read that people found he deserved to win. I disagree with that , so made my statements.
I know the winner is declared. But felt injustice was done towards Sushant (and Ankita). Had the feeling to appreciate their hard work because people are against them without the good reasons and I wanted to share my 'truth'.
Also didn't want history to repeat itself in JDJ 5.

sushant was gettng repetitive with same kinda steps period. yes the concepts were innovative but the dance style was getting mundane...

😆😆.. i love how you are dutch and watch hindi shows. as you go on.. some soaps are really addictive and sometimes you feel as if your head will burst if you dont watch it...
also, if you like sushant+ ankita called sushita fondly, you can go on youtube and find offscreen videos of thm ( i dont know if you already watched it) but they are soo CUTE.
sushant is so funny, obbessed with oninons
and ankita LOVES hitting sushant.😆

and i liked your post on ankita/mahi character. i agree that IF mahi wanted, she could have done something cute and funny mimicry of ankita but she didnt.
also, i had said before that, judges make a HUGE impact on the voting population/voters. hence if judges did their JOB properly, who knows what the results would have been?
