You have proved to be an all rounder by proving your talent as a singer, actor and now an accomplished dancer as well. How do you recall your journey? It feels great to do all these things. I never imagined I would get such wonderful opportunities to explore myself -as a singer, actor and dancer. I was doing my dentistry and was about to leave for the US for further studies when suddenly my sister told me to try my luck in a singing competition. My world changed completely and I am glad I took the chances in life. Whatever I have done till now is loved and appreciated by the audiences. The support and love of my family eggs me to do more, accomplish more. | |||

Did you expect to win Jhalak Season 4? No, not at all. The competition was very tough and I never imagined that I would win because I was facing dancers like Sushant Singh Rajput, Yana, even Ragini was very good. I used to think I am not a dancer as compared to others. But my choreographer used to push and said the judges saw potential in me as a dancer. She would say I can do it. I think my dedication and hard work for doing the steps perfectly worked. I thank my choreographer and my audiences for supporting me |
How was Maricha, your choreographer, as a teacher? She was very strict and that worked in my favour. Her unwillingness to give up and her attempts to try harder, led to this victory. Her support made me a winner. |
Which was the toughest performance? Teen Ka Tadka was the hardest. Before the shoot, I was not in town and didn't get enough time for rehearsal. In other performances, had a tough time getting the steps right with Maricha and in Teen Ka Tadka, we had to fit in one another celebrity. We had to dance together. So I was very nervous and kept wondering how will we accomplish all that. I knew I wasn't a great dancer so I was worried about coordination with the celebrity. |
Do you enjoy singing or dancing? Both are close to my heart. I feel dancing requires much more hard work and dedication than singing. Moreover, we can sing anywhere but for dancing one needs space and time. While singing one can hide small mistakes but nothing is hidden in dancing. |
Who is your dancing icon in Bollywood? I love Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor. I really like their dancing style which can't be matched by any one. It is a mystery to me how they manage to be so flexible in their moves. |
What do you think of the judges Madhuri Dixit, Malaika Arora Khan and Remo? It was amazing to meet them and interact with them. Both the ladies were super elegant and never insulting in their remarks. But I used to be scared of Remo Sir's comments as he looked closely at the technicalities of dance. I enjoyed being judged by two dancing divas of Bollywood. What's next in store after Jhalak? I will go on a holiday. Later I have few live shows. |
