I find ankita to be a better dancer than chang and marisha to be a better ( and smarter) choerographer than nishant (what marishca has managed to with chang is amazing .. whereas i feel nishant , at times doesnt know what to do with anki's dancing skills) ...
Ankita started off very well in the show with her first couple of performances , then her perfs dipped in the next three weeks ( and by that i mean really mediocre choreography , specially in the teen ka tadka round which was really bad ..although ankita's scores have always been very steady .. always in the 25-27 range) , and the remo special was a disaster ( as remo rightly ripped apart their break dance performance..but she managed to get 25)

But since then , they have come up with the semi classical perf ( dhai sham in madz spl) , WC performance , shadow dance , boss-employee act , and her performances this week .. all of them were really really good ... ...

And I feel she has been one of the most consistent performers on the show ..( she might not have gotten 30 yet , but her perf graph has only gone upwards.).

And ever since the double performances have started , she has climbed up the scores as well , managing to actually tie/beat yana and chang the past couple of weeks ...

Personally I find ankita to be one of the most graceful and expressive dancers on the show ( gosh , talking about expressions , she did a fab job emoting as a mentally challenged girl )

And , if she does reach the top three , I would say it is totally well deserved ..

I pretty much agree with many of your points, especially about Ankita being a good dancer and your last para. The highlight of Sushant and Shampa's performance is not his moves, but his expressions and energy.

Once Shilpa said on ZNKD about Akshat- "Even if you do a little, woh phir bhi accha lag jata hai." I feel the same about Sushant and Shampa- their enthusiasm, energy and expressions draws you to the dance even if choreography is not extra-ordinarily difficult- like Chumma Chumma de de. Every week, everyone sits in anticipation thinking what special act Sushant and Shampa must have prepared cos they come up with interesting concepts and new themes. Sony and JDJ must have made a lot of money cos of him too. And if he is tagged 'unfair if victorious' after working so hard, simply cos the channel chose to pit trained against untrained, then I don't find it right too.

Totally agree with your points in bold especially. That's exactly what I feel too. And yeah even the Chumma Chumma performance, good point. That whole day JDJ wise was pretty ok types in terms of everyone's performances, but STILL I felt that Sushant and Shampa stood out on their own. They just had a totally different level of energy on stage! As a choreographer too, I feel that Shampa is the only one this season who completely captures the mood of the songs you know what I mean? It's like 'natural' choreography I would say. Other choreographers you can tell are more into creating tough choreography/moves etc. but missing that whole essence of the music! So Shampa's natural and soulful choreography with Sushant's totally honest performance is what makes their team so great! The only other choreographer I feel, who comes close sometimes is Marisha. I like how she uses the music too alot of times.

And yeah, I don't think the whole trained vs. untrained thing should be the basis of who deserves to win this competition. 😕 Like you said, just because Sushant is trained, we should overlook his dedication to all his performances this season? How totally fair....🤔. I honestly don't think I would be this into JDJ this season if it wasn't for the awesome team of Sushant and Shampa. 😍😆

I agree with every word of whatever you've written. Shampa's choreography is not the most difficult at times, but it is certainly endearing and captures the mood of the song. I find her to be the most impressive choreographer this season. Her choreography and Sushant's concepts and vision as a budding director and writer, coupled with their expressions are very much responsible for the appreciation they have got. Its not just about being a trained dancer, its much much more than that.

Shampa makes sushant's dances look fab and sushant makes shampa's choreography look amazing ...

Ankita-Nishant have improved tremendously after the WC round. They were a bit thanda before that and it was due to Nishant's weak choreography because Ankita has always been a good dancer but now I can't even say that Nishant is not a good choreographer. Yana-Salman impressed me in the initial weeks but now I don't feel connected to their performances. I thought Salman said he wants to do those type of acts that none of the future JDJ season contestants are able to match up to 😕 I am still waiting for that! 🤔

Anyways I'm a fan of Ankita but I don't think she will make it to Top 3, she will probably be eliminated just before the finale. The likely Top 3 are: Sushant, Chang and Yana!

I, being a huge Sushant fan, want him to win obviously. Him and Shampa have never failed to impress me. I'm always awed by their performances. I think they are the true deserving winner ⭐️

Niki and Pallavi, I love your posts and I agree with it! 😊

Sushant, Ankita and Yana / Chang

Because of the amazing team of Sushant and Shampa!!!!

I really hope Ankita comes in the top three as she has been improving in not only in her dance but the overall performance and team work of Nishant and Anki off lately. Some more inputs put in by Nishant to this graceful dancer, can do wonders to the act. As Remo pointed out correctly. She has carried western dance forms and Indian classical so well giving variety in each of her performance.

And they are peaking at the right time too

I would be content if anyone of Chang and Yana comes in top three.

just one or two performances of yana did not go well and people are not counting her in top 3... come on this is not fair... like madhuri always says salman and yana have been consistently performing well... just one or two of their performance was NOT UP TO THEIR STANDARD....still one week left so lets see what happens and who makes it to top 3..itni Jaldi kya hai
and not to forget JDJ is always full of surprises

coming to Ankita... she has a chance if she manages to escape danger zone(going by the voting pattern this is unlikely to happen) bcoz if she in a face off with yana then i dont see her beating yana in face off round...

coming to top 3... my top three are Sushant Chang Yana
and i want chang to win and if not chang then yana

@cute2stay: what a lovely post and analysis. it completely hit the nail on the head. you said everything so beautifully, i just want to add some more

1) sushant and shampa bring soul to their dances. this wouldnt matter if you are trained or untrained. what an artist brings to his/her performances totally depends on them. a trained dancer doesnt equal dances that totally reel the viewers and capture their hearts. that part comes entirely from somewhere else.

also, an untrained dancer with basic dance steps can make your heart swoon by JUST their stage presence. so at this point trained or untrained is not an criteria to win or gain votes

2) chang and marisha VS nishant and ankita:

i agree that chang has come a LONG way since the 1st week, but he hasnt been consistent at all. this week his marks were 27 and dropped to a 23 with negative comments from remo. so his acts havent been steady, and he doesnt ALWAYS bring his A game. that said, he is FUN to watch, and totally pulls you in with his enegry and by just being chang. marischa is one creative woman, who knows how to smartly play with the viewers mind (Ex: chang as sardar. it was EPIC)

Ankita; has always stayed average with her 25's and 26's. her kathak performance was really good, almost pro. she has improved tremendously since her WC. her charm lies in her sweetness and her simplicity. the analogy:"a model can fake actress" comes to mind. she may not know any of these dance forms but she can FAKE it really well. while watching her, she has that confidence and elegance in her. her expressions are BANG on and in that dept.she is unmatchable to anyone.

also, she has never dipped in her marks. like i said, she is always LEVEL in her marks. this week she got 26 then 25. always steady. that should be taken into consideration as well. she is a performer you can bank on!

3) Salyana: they started off great, and then leveled off. this week their dancing was average and then WOW. so, they have to keep up the steam or else, they are in danger of being forgotten by viewers, in the sense that, they are so-so and others are more interesting.

yana/salman, sushant/shampa & chang/marisha.....

i want yana & salman to win 😍 yes they'v given average type of performances in da recent past but i'v full faith in dem, i hope they giv really fab performances next week!!! god bless them....
