New Delhi, Feb 5 (IANS) Television actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who has earned a lot of fan following after his impeccable dance performances on 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4', broke down after an emotional performance on the reality show.

The actor, best known for his role in 'Pavitra Rishta', had to perform on the theme - Jashn rishton ka (Celebration of relationships), with his choreographer Shampa. They chose to depict mother-child bonding through their dance.

'The core idea behind their dance was how the care and affection of a mother never dies for her child even when she dies. Sushant, with his perfect moves and expressions, made everyone cry on the sets, and broke down himself as he missed his mother, who passed away only a few years ago,' said a source.

Sushant laments that his mother isn't around to see how successful he has become. His beau, actress Ankita Lokhande, who too is a contestant on the reality show, ran towards Sushant when he cried, and hugged him to console him.

Host Mona Singh also started crying. The episode featuring the performance will be on air Monday on Sony Entertainment Television.

'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4' is being judged by Madhuri Dixit, Malaika Arora Khan and choreographer Remo D'Souza.

I didn't want to say this, but I'm having this nasty suspicion that this theme was PURPOSELY given to Sushant. You know na, TRP's!

And what are they showing in the promo- Anki kissing Sushant! Okay, its on the cheek, but still!!! They got what they wanted!

I guess I should wait before venting out anger on them. Who knows maybe Shampa wanted to take this theme? But somehow I don't see that happening, we just had a mother-child performance last week by Mahi, so knowing that Sushant-Shampa like to do something different and unique it is quite unlikely that they would have taken mother-child relationship again.

I feel the channel have themselves given this theme to Sushant and Shampa. And if this gets confirmed in the rehearsal avi, I'm gonna be very angry actually.

Thnx lunza for posting the article..

it says dey chose the theme not given but thing is dis website is not reliable(i felt like dat after the articles on Krushna and Anki;s elimination)

but if shampa wanted to do it den she must have done it unintentionally :)

@lunza: Thanks for the article! I'm still a little wary that Sushant-Shampa would have chosen this theme. Somehow I don't feel they would have done it. Solely my views.

i do agree he wouldnt have chose it cos i remember ZND he didn't wanted to do group performance on Mother day special..watever thing is wat i didn't wanted to see on JDJ is happening(sushant crying 😭 ) can't help

Same here Nisha! I had never thought that he would take up this concept- he told in ZNKD that he hasn't even gone to the house (where his mother used to live) after her death.

But then who knows- maybe Shampa wanted to do it, or maybe he wanted to give some sort of tribute or something.

But I have to confess, again and again my mind and heart are telling me that the channel did it. Even I don't want to see what happened in ZNKD now in JDJ.

latest article proves it :(( i s;ly feel bad for dem dat ppl esp media are not seeing dere talent,hardwork but unnecessary things..watever

ok back to the promo we havent got a glimpse of dere performance but shampa reminded me of shakti in DID where shakti dedicated a performance to all working women..i can't wait to see her in saree lolz

Nd i feel disgusted 🤢 How can one even write that stuff about Sushant?! He is like one of the most humble actors on TV nd they wrote such stuff about an actor like that?! 🤢
