Madhuri Dixit refused to play mommy to Anil Kapoor's daughter Sonam in the desi remake of Mark Water's film Freaky Friday.

Said a source very close to Madhuri, "When Anil Kapoor offered her Sonam's mother's role Madhuri was in two minds. She felt hesitant about playing mother to a girl in her 20s.

At the same time, Madhuri also felt awkward about turning down Anil's offer, an actor with whom she has shared a very warm relationship in the past. So she decided to first watch Freaky Friday.

But yesterday Madhuri decided that the role would not suit her, especially after her last abortive attempt at a comeback in Aaja Nachle. Many protest posts were put up on a social networking site against Madhuri playing mom to Sonam."

Says Madhuri's Indian business manager Rakesh Nath, "After much thought Madhuri has decided not to do the Indian remake of Freaky Friday. She will inform Anilji about her decision as soon as he returns from South Africa."

sushant was the best performer of the day..i thought he deserved more than 27 though :S

and wow madhuri is so expressive...when krushna got eliminated..I jsut love that you can tell her disappointment was genuine...and doesnt seem dramatic or over the top or anything.. hmmm

MD was glowing and looking so very beautiful in today's episode.....loved what Sumeet said in the end of the episode....'the Oh so beautiful Madhuri Dixit'.....😳

Loved the performances in today's episode....but this Shekhar Suman thing is really irritating me.....cribbing about MD's comments about improvement in choreography....and he even dares to complain about the marks MD gave him........such a big loser......i really hope he gets eliminated next week.....i don't want to see him dancing on MD's song.......such a pathetic person.....😡

Loved Remo's performance....i agree with what Krushna said yesterday 'best judges any reality show has ever had'..........😉

YIPEE!...That's Really Gr8 News!!🥳...no offence meant, but what on earth was Anil thinking when he offered that role to Madhuri!!🤔...Glad she turned it down!😃...i want Madhuri to make a Rocking comeback, with a strong Movie that's specially written with her in mind!👏👏👏👏
