Hi guys, I'm new to the JDJ3 Forum...to India Forums actually. Thought this would be the best way to introduce myself...so Hi, I'm Ratz😉
I picked the best performance for each contestant that was their best according to me. Obviously it's subjective and you guys may disagree but I thought it would be a fun post. I don't have a particular favourite; I prefer to enjoy everyone's dances.
1. Shilpa...it was hard for me to choose because her performances have gone from strength to strength and if she continues to do well...she should be in the final. I choose this dance because this was when I first stood up and took notice of Shilpa and My appreciation for Nishant as a choreographer grew. The next best had to be a tie between the Mime with the props and The Mawaali one.
2. Gauhar, even though I disliked her attitude at first, you cannot help but fall in love with the way she dances; like she was born to do it. Overtime, she grew on me and it became irrelevant whether or not I liked what she used to say because her dance spoke for itself. I decided to not include her dance with Himanshu...and choose her Nagada act with Hanif because this is where she finally let loose and trusted Hanif and they both did so well, her belly dance would have been a close second had it lasted longer.
3. Hard Kaur...she's fab. Most of her performances were great, I especially liked the NokJhok with the hip-hop and bhangra but that was always going to be good. That's the music she grew up with and danced to, it came naturally but her best performance for simply looking so feminine and dancing so gracefully would have to be Pehla Nasha.
4. Monica...unfortunately for me...I felt as though she kind of hit a plateau in terms of dancing. It didn't get worse but it didn't get better either...it was just consistently good. I enjoy her dances but I reckon she could still take it up a notch. Javed needs to push her more and come up with new, fresh ideas. I chose their first ever dance because she came with a Bang and packed a huge punch...I thought that day that she was going to win it...not so sure now.
5. Parul is a good dancer and a quick learner. You can tell her forte is Indian but she still managed to do extremely well in ballroom, contempory and Latin. But for me it was really only a choice between her Indian dances and once again I had to go with the first episode...her Desi Girl dance was Fantastic!!! So much so...I was literally shaking in my seat!
6. Bhageshree...I think I expected a lot from her...even though she's only done a few movies and she hasn't danced much in either...I just had it in my head that she would be a good dancer. She was stiff in the beginning but her wild card performance was her swan song. It was almost flawless and she deserved a hell of a lot more appreciation than she got.
7. Karan is the strongest MALE contender, in my opinion. Even though he has numerous fans, his dances fail to receive its DUE appreciation from the judges, perhaps they know something we don't. Either way...Karan is good but he can do Miles better, Nicole should take full advantage of the fact...he is a pretty strong guy. I loved his You're My Love Dance but my favourite has to be the blindfold dance...if he could do so well blindfolded, imagine him without it.
8. Now I know...many people (judges included) felt Ugesh Sarkar was overconfident, which he was in the wildcard round but in the other rounds...he was a genuinely good dancer and showed by far the most improvement out of all the other contestants. He's not that popular and that went against him but otherwise...after Karan he was the next best dancer. I never felt Magic overtook his acts...it enhanced their performance. His best was the Hritik Roshan act and he did NOT deserve to get eliminated for it. It was innovative and Tina did a great job!
9. Ram...I don't even need to say much about this guy...he is a Gem!! He was an asset to the show and will be sorely missed. His honesty and knowledge really endeared me to him...he's a guy that knows exactly how the audiences work but he never once tired to manipulate that. The mere fact that he can move so well is amazing...hats off to him for trying his best. Personally, I would have liked him to stay and see his journey but oh wells. His best for me was in the prop round with the hip-hop. His hand and footwork was great!!
10. Baichung...seriously needs to work on his expressions but I can see him finally getting into it and it's really rather sweet. He's still Too stiff and needs to relax but my favourite was the romantic number in the prop round on the stairs. He did very well and I loved how he wanted to get involved. I also love that he's opened his house up to Sonia as well and props to her for re-locating just for him.
11. Mohinder(ji) always, always without fail put a smile on my face and I could be his granddaughter (almost). He was a thorough charmer and I loved every minute of it...he was a gentleman. I also loved his interaction with Hard Kaur (and others)...and the fact that he can still Rock hip-hop gear, he looked Ace!! Though his fitness is still great (did you see him do those push ups?), there was still something lacking. I wish we could have seen some proper bollywood ishstyle dancing from him but alas...for now, my favourite is his hip shaker.
12. Anand(ji)...I always wanted to jump into the TV and scream at him to loosen his hands during the Latin dances. But he showed marked improvement in the wild card round and that's my favourite dance of his too...the energy and expressions was unmatchable and he did a great job for his last performance.
That's all for now...Meow 😛
