I was treated unfairly: Bharti Singh
Saloni Bhatia, TNN | Sep 26, 2012, 12.00AM ISTBharti Singh was recently offered Bigg Boss but she didn't take up the offer to be a part of the show which requires the participant to stay in a house with other contestants for 90 days. "Yes, I was offered Bigg Boss but I wanted to get back to comedy after Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. If the show comes to me again the next time, I will accept it," she told us.
The comedian was recently in the news for refusing to perform in the face-off round in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. "I had been suffering from a sore back for the last three weeks and my doctor had advised me against dancing. Even the channel was aware of my health issues, but I was still forced to dance in various rounds. Since I knew that the elimination was imminent, I decided to back out. Agar face-off mein performkarne se mujhe slip disc ho jaata, toh aage jaake main comedy bhi na kar paati. Mujhe apni shaadi ka bhi sochna hai," she said, adding that Isha Sharvani, who had a fractured hand was given a direct entry into the semis without her having to perform. "I have no grudges against Isha. She is a good friend but I wasn't treated fairly by the channel," she stressed.
Agreed, but her comments about her being the reason for the success of the show didn't go down well with many. "I never intended to say that. Many things which I said were edited and only the harsh bits were kept," she revealed.
Bharti, went on to add that she'd prepared two acts for the semis and one was an aerial act. "I toiled to prepare the aerial act. But there were different things in store for us," she said. However, she told us that she has decided to move on and will even be making an appearance on the Finaleof the show. She said that she is looking forward to doing more comedy acts and making people laugh. "I have even bagged three movies, two of them are with Akshay Kumar. One of them isKhiladi 786," she signed off.
