Good one, Ilovepyaar. I have to say when we are almost at the finish line of the competition I am getting to see more thoughtful posts. Thank you.

Ditto to everything you said. This is the first time I am watching JDJ and I had to look up on what the concept of the show was. As far as I understood the show is a dance competition based on popularity. Here, dance as well as popularity are the two important factors that keep the contestants in the show. And so that is how I have judged all the eliminations so far.

Shibani is someone I thought who would go all the way to the end. But the wild cards entry changed the equation (and not the existing contestants). If the wild cards were not there I think Shibani would have absolutely gone all the way to the finale. But there is now way Shibani could have competed popularity wise to GC, Ritvik, Rashmi, Barti and Isha. At the end of the day it is a dance and popularity contest so she didn't have enough votes to save her. I was completely fine with that because it fits how I define this competition as.

Darsheel, again felt sad at his exit but I don't think he would have gone all the way till the end. So his exit came earlier than later, that is all. The way I counter argued my disappointment at not being able to watch Avneet again on the JDJ platform was that she is so young and she has a long long time ahead of her to showcase her skills on more platforms such as these or better platforms where dance is the only criteria.

All the other eliminations were fitting, I thought.

From the start of the show I thought there would be two contestants who would go all the way to the end (well 3 before the wild card entries) and those two contestants are still there fighting it out. Isha is a much better dancer than most although from a choreographers point of view I can tell you her expressions are never to the mark. But she has spend years and years honing in on her talent and dancing skills. This is a testament to all that years of handwork. So she absolutely deserves to go to the finale. Gurmeet is a decent enough dancer but he is the most popular contestant on the stage right now. But his popularity did not happen over night. He did not get this popularity just by lying on a sofa with a golden spoon in his mouth. He seems to have worked hard to have reached where he has reached today. His popularity is a testament to all his hard work in his field. The way I look at it is, here you have two worthy contenders who excel in their own field (dancing and acting respectively) and who have weaknesses in the others' field (Gurmeet in dancing and Isha in conveying her expressions to the audience). At the end of the day I want these two to be in the finale because they are the two people who have fit the bill perfectly for the dance and popularity contest.

It is a shame when we delude ourselves that this is a purely dance competition or a purely popularity competition. It is both. And it is an even bigger shame when we discredit these contestants' journey on the show and blame them for the exit of others contestants.

So sorry for the length of the post and for bringing in specific contestants names. I hope the thread remains safe. 😳

Agree with you completely dear i dont know why certain goes to these extreme extent it's just a dancing compitition where there Will obviously only have only one winner And for that it's sure others have to go And when their celebrity loose out it's not either the fault of other contestants nor the judges nor that of the Channel or the fans of other celebrities each one of them is just doing their part .i'm sick And tired of seing posts with foul language common this is a forum with grown up intelligent adults not some innocent kids who does not know what is foul language or not .Other thing i'm tired of seing here is the extent they Will go to show their dislike of certain celebrities they go to extent of makeing fun of their physycal appearence their stiffness blah blah for gods sake what's that have god to do with dancing And as i said soo many times you have to give reapect to receive in return if you only give but insults you'll get but insults in return . And just comming with the same post in different ways does nothing but just filling pages as well as comming looking for baggareing again And again what does it serves for nothing soo be peaceful And just give your opinion which definetely you are free to do So but with respect to other members or the contestants And behave like adults😃

Peace

Bharti, Karan Wahi and Gurmeet should have left way before they even thought of eliminating Shibani and Darsheel. But of course, it's all a popularity contest, so we have to put up with the likes of the Wahi's and the Gurmeet's on the show. The only people to be blamed for these eliminations are the fans voting for their favorite regardless of their performances and the creative heads on the show that rig those votes anyway, I'm sure.

It's a personal preference. While you think Bharti, Karan and Gurmeet should have left before Shibani and Darsheel, I like Karan and Gurmeet as dancers and I feel like Wahi should have stayed past Shibani, and Gurmeet past Darsheel. But, once again, it's personal preference.

Exactly. Oh and you forgot the judges. Apparently the judges also decide the dancers fate. Because you know when the votes are counted it all happens in front of the judges because they have nothing better to do than hate on random people that make little or no difference to their existence.

I've been thinking what would be Madhuris personal benefit on kicking out Shibani and leaving Bharti. Maybe Shibani is Madhuris cousin.

😆 This post cracked me up. But yes, I agree with you. The hate on judges is getting a little too much!

Lol you're right! 😆 I should have added that in. While I do believe that the people behind the scenes of Jhalak do finally decide who to eliminate (for TRPs or whatever reason), I doubt it has anything to do with the judges.

The competition clearly says 50% marks n 50% votes are taken into considration...if a person is popular...its his/her talent...its not an individuals prob if he/she is popular...nobody is to b blamed for being popular! atleast i lyk that abt GC...he doesnt have to come up with songs, comic acts or gay acts to attract attention...it comes of it self...he just stands there shy, reserved n smiling! n Bharti is an entertainer...
