well, for me MSK maynt b that great, but the protrayal was great. Since it is a jhalak forum, all in all I want to say is there are many with same POV as you and also there are many others with a slight different POV like TM. But the actor is same with diff. faces that is what I like in him.

Now coming to JDJ which we shud discuss here; he will be gaining something from Jhalak ,nothing to lose!

Lets see how his Jhalak journey goes!

Good to know that you are liking GC in JDJ... But since you have brought Punar Vivah in the topic,I would like to share my opinion on that . Punar Vivah has made him even more popular by giving him an opportunity to reach to a wider audience. You think that he is not doing nothing new. I disagree. There are so many shades to character of Yash Scindhiya. I dont think negative shade is something he hasnt done before. Character of MSK had lot of grey shades esp in Hoshiyarpur/early Delhi track. But that's no surprise as, MSK had almost all shades. So yes he has done slightly negative role. In fact doing negative or so called larger than life anti hero would have been easy way out. He was already so popular among youngsters. All he had to do was smirk,and drop some catchy dialogues now and then, and people would have been drooling again.

But instead he chose a character with a lot of depth and maturity. He is not larger than life. He is a very realistic character with his own set of issues.And yes playing a father is no small step especially for an actor who had such huge following amongst youth.

And Punar Vivah has not adversely affected his popularity,it has boosted it. It became the no.1 show on its channel within 3 months. India forum is hardly an indicator of real popularity, most of the fan following is for shows which depict hawt chemistry between the leads. Punar Vivah doesnt cater to that. It has a lot more subtlety and depth in its love story. Yet it has always been in top 5 in India forums too. And Gurmeet was at top 3/4 before JDJ,and he is at 4 even after JDJ. So JDJ has hardly helped his rankings as far as IF is concerned. What matters in real world is trp of a show,and Punar Vivah has been doing consistently well on that front,with one or two exceptions. As for Gurmeet's popularity, he is the one getting maximum votes every week,so I need not elaborate on that.

ok guys i think we are deviating the point... concentrate on GC in JDJ... no PV and GHSP here...

thats called versatility trying out different kinds of roles and thats what he has always been doing whether in his roles in his shows or in JDJ. All the best to him for it.

Recently E24 channel held a poll in which Yash, the charcter played by Gurmeet, and not Gurmeet in JDJ was nominated. He won the 3rd place without a single vote given by members of PV forum and FB! How am I so sure? well, becoz no one in the forum or FB knew about it.😃 Now u may call us lazy, etc, I don't mind. I accept its our fault that we didn't know our HERO was nominated in something. But it also speaks about whether he has lost fans or gained them! Thank U.
