well i completely disagree with u
i am very much satisfied with the mods working in the forum...its good that they are keeping a sharp eye on all the activities of the forum...its helping keep the forum healthy and systematic...
secondly no one is prohibited from expressing their views even if they are negative if they keep it healthy...u can clearly see some comparisons and negative posts lead to fights between the fan and offenders of the celeb...only that threads are closed which led to fight and bashing...a post with healthy negative comment for a celeb is never closed even if it is reported...mods too use their brains...

From what I have seen of this forum, in the beginning things were pretty lax but the Gurmeet fans and bashers kept locking horns. So the mods decided to be proactive and started nipping everything in the bud. From their point of view, it is justified. But yes, it does curb the freedom that a forum is supposed to stand for. This place seems very restricted. The warnings and the edits are a bit too much, in my opinion as well.

I can perfectly understand mods giving out warnings for instigating or name calling/bashing or spamming posts. It helps avoid lot of possible mess.

I have to agree as well. The forum does seem very restrictive and there are sooo many rules to remember (I'm not blaming any mods because I know some circumstances led them to do all this). And the rules are for petty things. Ek comment post karne ke liye, sau baar sochna padtha hai. I have to make sure I'm not breaking some rule anywhere. I'm not talking about rules like no personal comments or disrespect towards others. Those are legit rules and I agree that those must be followed. It's just common courtesy. But the minute, trivial rules like when to use the word "fan," or "fanatic," or whole other BS like that really does get in the way. I think people need to calm down and take a deep breath and not be so serious. It truly takes the fun out of everything... I truly wrote this post with the best of intentions. I hope no one takes it personally.

I don't think topic started actually means mods are doing a bad job?

It's more of the members not really comprehending simple forum rules; reporting every other post; taking things way too far; like she mentioned somewhere making the virtual world their only world. I have seen people take their fan following so far that they're actually 'crying' over something that happens in a show. Like, seriously?? In JDJ forum, people are accusing non fans of silly things just because they don't agree that some celeb is a good dancer.

My personal opinion - stop treating celebs like gods/goddesses. You're not benefiting anything from it, instead you end up looking silly. These celebs are not going to give you a hug or kiss when they see you, YOU will want one. When they say they love their fans they're being nice, they don't actually love you.

I had to put that accross to get this point accross - actors are paid for whatever they do. When we criticize them it's not becaus we hate them per se (like seriously, what difference does it really make to them whether we hate them or love them?) we are voicing opinions and stars should be mature and big enough to take everything with a pinch of salt. They don't need 'moderators' to protect them. Especially from mere forum members. Kapiche?
