Hello JDJ'ians!
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! Here we go with the update...
Our hosts Manish and Ragini come out to get the episode started. Ragini in a beautiful gold and blue anarkali (she looks very pretty today 😳) and our funny man Manish in a black vest suit. They come out and introduce the judges, Remo in a black and white checkered suit, karan in a full black suit, and Madhuri in a pretty red saree. Today the remaining 6 contestants will be performing to this weekends rashee theme. Manish cracks a joke that his horoscope says he will be hired by a famous director for his next film 😉 Ragini tells him to stop sucking up and introduces the first performance of the day...
First Performance: Gurmeet and Shampa
Song: Beera
Rashee: Leo
Style: Pulakali
AV is shown of the duo rehearsing. They are dancing to the Pulikali dance form. Shampa mentions how the Leo's attributes are how strong and proud they are and so the are doing a theme of the lion. Shampa says Gurmeet is not a Leo and in fact his own sunsign is that of one who is the opposite of a Leo... being shy and laid back.
Performance starts with Shampa coming out in a jungle type dress. She is portraying a hunter and Gurmeet is the lion. Gurmeet also in jungle attire and with complete lion makeup. Gurmeet was very in character and his body language and expressions combined with his makeup made him just like a lion. Very commendable 👏 Lots of good dancing moves and lifts in there as well. Only point I noted was initially they were a bit off sync in their coordination. Debina looked a bit emotional at the end of their performance 😳
Judges Comments:
Karan says he is astounded after seeing this performance. He says he feels like he is really looking at a lion and the passion and intensity in his eyes was amazing. He says if Gurmeet has this kind of expression and caliber in him, then he can go anywhere in life. He commends Shampa as well for her support and says it was their best performance til date.
Madhuri says they hunted her with this performance. She says she can barely recognize Gurmeet as he is so in character. Gurmeet flirts saying this lion is always there for her 😉. She gives them a perrrfect. 😃
Remo says what he liked most was that in addition to the rawness of their theme they did a lot of dancing as well. He says Pulakali means Pula = Lion and Kali = Dance. He says the way Gurmeet picked up the body language is amazing. He says he has one more person to give a THIS IS IT. 😃
Manish says even he is feeling scared standing next to Gurmeet as he is still in character 😆 And he says the birds have decided to make a nest in Shampa's hair 😆

Second Performance: Jayati & Diwakar
Song: Bichua
Rashee: Bichoo/Scorpio
Style: Odissi
AV is shown of the duo rehearsing. Jayati ji says she has learned Odissi for many years when she was younger but has not practiced it for past 10 years. Diwakar says the challenge is here for him this time as Jayati Maam is teaching him and he has to match up to her.
Performance is shown. Jayati and Diwakar dressed in traditional classical dance geer. Very sweet performance... elegance and grace as always by Jayati with her usual excellent expressions. I think the concept evolved around Diwakar playing the bichoo (scorpion) and initially he is aggressive and Jayati is shown as fearful but then he shows a nice/sweet side and they show the peace the two come to. Diwakar also did an excellent job. Overall a very good performance 👏
Judges Comments:
Madhuri says it was a very good performance. She said Odissi is a very delicate style and you need soft and delicate movements and it has its own speed. She says Jayati ji followed it very well. She said her hand eye coordination was excellent which comes from her training in it. She commends Diwakar also on his support despite not having training in it.
Karan says it was very lovely and nice considering her training in it.
Remo says this rashee is about passion which was shown in their performance. He says this was pure dance and he says this is their best performance til date. He says when a performance is complete without any flaws he likes to give a THIS IS IT..and he stands up and commends them. Jayati ji gets emotional at this 😭 She says she was in the danger zone this time and she would have felt ashamed to go out wearing her odissi costume as her mother is also here and also for her guruji it would have been shameful. So she says she is thankful that Remo gave her a This Is It. She said she came with a very pure heart and Remo says because she came as such, she performed purely too and that is why she has been applauded.
*Must say, I am disappointed in Karan for his lack of praise on Jayati ji's performance. He seems to only commend the 'SEXY' contestants and not appreciate the fact that this is a dance show...*

Jayati and Diwakar go upto Hawa Mahel where Manish commends Jayati ji's expressions and he says he wants to each her "Tapori Expressions' 😆 He calls up the 'Sasta Rajkumar' (i.e Nishant) and Baal ki Dukaan (Saavio) and they all start dancing to 'Tan Tana Tan Tan Tada' with tapori expressions. Manish later comments that this is why he doesnt take them anywhere and he just wanted to show Jayati Ji how ridiculous they all are 🤣 (LOL Manish is too funny!)

Ragini asks Remo what he likes about Madhuri the most. Remo says he likes that despite being such a big superstart Madhuri is still so down to earth and simple 😳 Ragini then questions Karan and he says that the legends always have this quality of simplicity and grace and they never take their success seriously and rather take it with a smile. He says a sher for her 😳 Ragini says Madhuri is a Taurus and the next performance is for this sign only.
Third Performance: Sushil and Alisha
Song: Rookhi Sookhi Roti (Film: Nayak)
Rashee: Taurus
Style: Bollywood
AV is shown of the duo rehearsing. Alisha says this sign is about the earth/land which suits Sushil's personality as he is very connected with that. They show them doing masti and Alisha teaching him steps. Sushil says last week he received the lowest marks so this week he is doing extra hard work and will give his 100%.
The two are dressed in village clothes. Sushil is a scarecrow with a Matka on his head and Alisha the village girl. Very energetic and cute performance. Sushil definitely did much better this time and you could see the effort he put in. They did steps with the matka and with sticks. Lots of masti in the dance and it suited his personality and both seemed to be enjoying. Sushil did forget steps in many places but overall a cute performance! 👏
Judges Comments:
Manish says this time the rashee's really seem to be suiting the contestants personalities 😉 He asks Karan to comment but before Karan says anything Sushil asks for permission to speak. Sushil says he just found out that Taurus is Madhuri's sign and if he had known then he would have worked even harder.. day and night 😆 Madhuri calls him 'Antar Mukhi jee' and Sushil gets all shy and shakes his hair 😆 Madhuri says his sweetness and innocence is what makes them love him so much. She tells him to keep smiling and keep dancing like Kishore Da 😃
Karan says he danced well and this time his coordination was much better except the part with the stick where he seemed to forget. He says the performance was simple and sweet like him.
Remo says today he showed that he worked hard. Of course he forgot some steps. Remo tells Sushil ji to always keep Madhuri jee in mind when he dances so he will work hard day and night 😆
Manish says that today Sushil jee will share what he has written for his first love... Madhuri 😉 He reads a poem he wrote in english:

Manish asks Madhuri if she understood and she says no. He says it is from her movie Saajan ... Jiye toh jiye kaise... bin aapke 😆 Sushil says thank you thank you to Manish and hugs him. Madhuri replies in a singing voice ' I dont know what to sayyy... I want to dance and sing 😆'

Fourth Performance: Shibani and Puneet
Song: Ab Hai Saamne, Isse choo lun zaara
Rashee: Cancer
Style: Emotional Contemporary
AV is shown of the duo rehearsing. Puneet says that 2 days before their first performance, Shibani's cousin brother died so they want to dedicate this performance to him. Shibani says she is missing her brother very much and wishes she could have spent more time with him.
The performance starts with Shibani in a purple dress and it is a birthday party for her and a friend says why are you sad. Shibani says she is missing her brother. The friend asks her to make a wish and Shibani closes her eyes and wishes that she could spend some more time with her brother. Then Puneet comes up behind her and he is portraying her brother.
Very beautiful performance. No flaws. You could see the emotion in the dance and all the moves were portrayed beautifully. At the end of the dance Puneet closes Shibani's eyes and walks away and she breaks down crying.
All the judges stand up and clap for their performance with tears in their eyes. Manish hugs Shibani.
Judges Comments:
Karan says he knows what it feels like to lose someone. He says she brought heart into this performance. Karan says you never lose someone, you gain a God and you can talk to them whenever you want. He says the hand of the God was on her in her performance today. He says words diminish a performance sometimes so he doesnt want to say much except she was brilliant.
Madhuri says there was really a lot of heart in the performance. Madhuri says the technical aspects of the dance were carried away and today she captured away their imagination and got them carried away. She says it was 'perfect'
Remo says whatever was in her heart she showed on stage and aside from that she also showed dance. Remo compliments Puneet and says the choreography was excellent and says Shibani put her heart into it which brought the choreography out and gives a THIS IS IT.

Manish comes out with a stethoscope and says since the next performance is going to be so powerful he needs to make sure everyone is in good health. He checks Remo's pulse and says the heart is beating good but instead of Dhak Dhak it is saying 'Bharti Bharti' 😆 He then goes to Madhuri and says Dhak Dhak Karne Laga... 😉 Madhuri says she doesnt need a checkup as she has a doctor at home 😳😉 Manish holds her hands and checks her pulse and says the pulse is beating fast... but that is his pulse that is high and Madhuri's is normal 😆 He then checks Karan's pulse and says his heartbeats are saying 'Manish cut the crap and introduce the next performance' 🤣
Fifth Performance: Ravi and Kunjan
Song: Hoothon pe aisi baat
Rashee: Gemini
Style: Bollywood
AV is shown where Ravi is talking about how a Gemini is one body with 2 faces. He says this has been the most difficult challenge for him and he has never done anything like this before.
Performance starts with Ravi dressed as a girl and both him and Kunjan in ghoonghat's covering their face on opposite ends and both do little solos. They then start dancing together. Ravi had very good expressions for a girl and the song really suited him. He really seemed to be enjoying this 😆 Very nice performance. 😛
Manish says it was a superb performance and this is not Ravi but Ravina 😆
Judges Comments:
Remo says if the camera was just focused on facial expressions then Ravi would have beaten Kunjan hands down. Remo appreciates that Kunjan had Ravi do a sole woman dance and not vulgar dance as is usually done by men when they imitate a girl. He says some of the body moves were stiff and manly and not as soft as they should have been. Other than that, it was very good.
Karan said he is afraid that Ravi has fullfilled this form so well and what will happen now. 😆Ravi says he apprecitates all the women as he realized how difficult it is to get ready and all. Karan says it seems he really respects womenhood and that came across in his performance.
Madhuri says every person has a ying and yang and he is completely in touch with his feminine side. She compliments him that he is really looking very beautiful today 😳 Ravi gets all shy hearing this 😆 Madhuri says she was flabbergasted that how could a man look so beautiful
Karan says he is looking like Basanti from Sholay because of his hair 🤣
Manish questions if he was not afraid that being such a big superstar and dressing up as a woman. Ravi says he was hesitant but a performer should try every form.
Manish says he also feels like singing a song seeing Ravi like this. He sing 'Lollipop Lagelu' They both dance to it and everyone enjoys and laughs. 😆

Sixth Performance: Pratyusha and Deepak
Song: Omkara
Rashee: Saggitarius (Dhanu)
Style: Freestyle
Ragini says in dramatic style how last week Madhuri wanted Pratyusha to do a more fierce form and so this week she will be presenting that. AV is shown of Pratyusha saying how this sunsign is of people who are very focused and they will be using a DHanush (bow) in their dance. Pratyusha says she will try and show her strength as much as she can in this dance though it is hard for her as she is not very strong.
Their concept is based on that of Dhrona and Eklavya. Performance starts with Deepak coming out dressed as a Rishi and he does a very fierce and nice solo bit and then Pratyusha comes out in black outfit and does a bit of solo herself ... theme is that she is trying to acquire knowledge from Deepak (the rishi)... Deepak request her to give him his thumb as a gurudakshana if she truly considers him her guru... and at the end of the performance they show her chopping off her thumb.
Judges Comments:
Remo says the theme and performance were very clean. He says concept wise it was a 10/10. He says Deepak's intro was superb but he tells Pratyusha to work on her body. He says even if you dont have the strength in your feet, you can use your hands. He says she leaves her hands loose and he says this would have been a 10/10 performance if she had performed better.
Madhuri says this has been her best performance til date. Madhuri says that fire and fierceness is becoming evident slowly slowly in her.
Karan compliments Deepak on the concept. Karan tells Pratyusha that energy doesnt come from moving your body, rather it comes from within/inside so tells her to bring that fire.
Manish tells her that a big mahaan person in the show is also a Sagitterius... he says it is Ragini 😆 He tells the two to go up to the hawa mahel.

She does the little solo from Dil toh Pagal Hai where she has the jugal bandhi with SRK. She is dressed in white kurti and tights with ghungroo and such a fabulous and graceful performance... i liked it better than when she did it in movie even 👏
Precap: Next weeks theme is the components of Entertainment... like thriller/comedy/humour/fantasy etc...
