I hope everyone is okay!!! I know it was really difficult having to evacuate, it must have been ten times worse coming back...

I heard it in the news that Hurricane Rita was not as bad as expected so that's a good news😃 and the last time I heard news they said there were only 2 casulties which is far more less compared to Katrina But still I pray for those souls to rest in peace😊

Sugarland,a part of Houston Metro,escaped almost totally.Winds at night.No power loss,water running internet on.Many,like us had not left seeing the traffic jam and Rita veering eastwards.Some parts of Houston were without power till 26th afternoon.

It wasn't as bad as Katrina, that's for sure. It was supposed to be cat 5 in land but it was a 3 I think.....

Even though this year wasn't as bad for us as last year but the harricane season isn't over yet either😕

Yup! We sure got lucky this time!! Thank you Babaji!!! 😛 I live in the Katy area, so I luckily I didn't get much of the storm. There was rain and slight winds, but nothing as bad as Seabrook and in the Galveston area! Two buses taking evacuees blew up while trying to leave the Galveston area!! And of course, they got the majority of all mighty Rita!! New Orleans got some too!
