I tried to reply to that Shilpa-Apoorva @ Jassi's Birthday post but I can't, so I'm going to say what I have to say right here. Whether it be Mona Singh or anyone else, calling them fat is rude. So long as the person is healthy & happy, it doesn't really concern us as outsiders. As for her career, sure, she may need to tone up a bit considering how small the B-Wood costumes are becoming lately, but I think she'll be okay. I'm sure she knows how to handle her career, she's gotten this far already on her own. In addition, she is extremely talented as an actress & in the long run, that's what will determine her success. As for her clothing, she's never revealed herself in an obnoxious or overtly suggestive manner..it's not like she's chubby & flaunts it or something. I may disagree with some of her wardrobe (read SKIRT) choices, but I'm so happy that she's not one of those people who finds it necessary to roam around in minis & bras in order to forge ahead in her career. And by the way, I was the one who posted the SRK/Mona article sometime back..someone else may have also though..

Good Sid, agree with you. Mona is such a talented and sweet female, she will sure make a right move.

Well, it does require for the B-Wood actresses to be slim but then I am not sure if only slimness is that essential. I have seen Madhuri Dixit in Dil to Pagal Hai and Devdas where she had put on a little of weight but she has acted so well, that our eyes never move below her face. I know Madhuri is a well established actress but I wish the same for Mona. She has already proved her abilities and she does have a charm with her which is appreciated by a lot of people.

Weight is not an issue when it comes to acting, she is great actress no one can argue on that, just think of few old actress in late 60's ...........chubby people always looks good (this is me) but but but if she can get away with some unwanted fat she will look more beautiful in all kind of dress (please friends I am saying dress not minis & bras I hate now a days Indian cinema's dress code)

It is a "weighty" problem---will she succeed at B-wood? Performance and audience perception will count. That will carry weight.Otherwise J is quite presentable as an actress and a very good one too.

YOU Rock Sid Di!!!!!!👏👏👏 I said that yesterday too, except I was late in saying it b/c the need to defend Mona was over! Buff had realized what she said and took it all back!!! Luv you for that Buff!!!😳🤗 But your statement still stands strong Sid Di!!!! There's too much criticism in this industry, more than needed if you ask me! As long as the person's healthy, who cares? 😉
