Jassi is getting dressed for Neha's mehndi ceremony. For once, she discards her saris for a heavy, pink Patiala salwar, her hair tied up in a plait, and bangles lavished on her arms. Armu comes in grinning and grabs her from behind. "Sorry!"
Jassi: Kis baat ke liye?
Armaan: Kal maine aur Raj ne jo tumhari khinchayi ki thi, uske liye….we were just kidding!
Jassi: (smiling) Jaanti hu…tumhari aur Raj, dono ki rag-rag se waakif hun......tum ready ho jao, hume mehndi ceremony pe jaana hai!
He refuses to budge, instead grabbing her even tighter. "Jassi…yaad hai hamari mehndi ki rasm?"
Jassi: (shivering) Mat yaad dilao!
Armu: (turning her towards him and lifting her chin so he can gaze into her eyes) Kyun??
Jassi: Kyunki….phir shaadi toh nahin hui thi na!
Armu: (hugging her) Jasssiii…..aakhirkaar toh ho hi gayi thi….aur wo judaai shayad hamare pyaar ke imtehaan hogi?
Jassi: Hmm…ho toh gayi…par apno se door…Raj bhi hamari shaadi mein nahin aa paaya…
Armu: Koi baat nahin, hum toh uski shaadi mein honge….okay, I'll just go and change….
He rushes to his wardrobe and starts taking out clothes, muttering to himself and holding them against him, peeking doubtfully in the mirror, then throwing them on the bed. Jassi shakes her head and selects a deep maroon sherwani. "Armaan…yeh bilkul new hai…tum isse kyun hain pehente? Aur iss tarah mess kyun phaila diya hai? Ab mujhe hi dekhna padega na? Jao, change karo, main tab tak bachchon ko ready karti hun."
Armu goes meekly to the bathroom. Once inside, he pulls out his phone from his pocket, and calls Raj.
Raj is sitting on the bed, still not dressed, when Armaan's calls comes. He picks it up with dramatic melancholy, "Bol yaar!"
Armu: Kya kar raha hai?
Raj: Apne azaadi ke aakhri pal gin raha hun….phone kyun kiya?
Armu: Yeh bataane ke liye ki main teri haalat samajhta hun…..dekh yaar, shaadi se pehle, kapde fold karne, almirah theek karne, bachche sambhaalne aur kabhi-kabhi cooking karne ka crash course le le…inn sab cheezon ki bina tera kaam nahin chalega!
Raj: Yaar, tu mera dost hai ki raakshas? Iss tarah crash course ki baatein karke mujhe darayega, toh meri shaadi ka plane take off karne se pehle hi "crash" ho jayega….
Armu: Well…tujhe ek cheez ka crash course toh definitely chahiye….
Raj: Kya?
Armu: Punctuality ka! Rasm 7 baje ki hai, abhi 6:45 ho rahe hai…maan liya ki hum Indian Standard Time se chal rahe hai…lekin tu abhi tak ready bhi hua hai?
Raj: Ho jaunga yaar….tum aur Jassi wahaan pahuncho, main thodi der mein grand entry karunga!
Armu grins in bemusement and puts down the phone.
