Hello my sweet friends. Last week my speech at the end of the update was inspired by Nehruji's independence day speech. Name of the person who guessed that correctly, coming up right after the update.
SOME RESTAURANT
Today's episode starts with Jassi and Mallika seated at an expensive restaurant where Mallika has taken Jassi for lunch (thank goodness it's not that restaurant where all the chairs are covered with white cloth – jaise kissi kursi ke maut ka matam manna rahe hoon).😆
Mallika tells Jassi that she had never imagined that she would be having lunch with a woman whom she could never stand. She knows that Jassi knows more about Armaan and his life than even she does. That Jassi has always supported him, sometimes even against her.
Jassi says that that's not true. She has simply supported him the way she would have supported her, had she been her secretary. (Thank goodness she wasn't Mallika's secy. Billi aur chuhiya aik saath kaam kar sakte hein bhala??? Mallika says – well said Jassi. Just then the waiter comes to take the order. Mallika orders some ghans-phoos (salad) with a hi-fi name.(ab samaj mein aaya Mallika ke model-like figure ka raj!!!) Jassi asks the waiter what a particular dish is. (Chalo kuch toh seekha Jassi ne – remember when she ordered lassi with fish or something???)😆.
Mallika asks Jassi what she thinks about her relationship with Armaan. Jassi tells her that she thinks Armaan has a very special place for Mallika in his life. Mallika then says that she feels that gradually she is losing Armaan. She thinks that there is another woman in his life. The Armaan that came to her last night was not her Armaan. She wants Jassi to tell her if there is indeed another woman in his life – if that was the case, she would give their relationship a beautiful finale and leave Armaan.😳 She then asks Jassi if she should marry Armaan or not. If Jassi was in her place, what would she have done?
Jassi says that I have seen love, but not known it. Just then Raj calls to tell Mallika that she is getting late for her flight to Goa. (GM should open a branch office in Goa – they go there so often!!!). Jassi then says that I think Armaan Sir still loves you. She feels that GM and other problems have come in their way. If Mallika again becomes the Mallika that Armaan fell in love with, they could still get back together. Mallika thinks that it is too late and their relationship can never be the same again.
GULMOHUR RECEPTION
Pari is making fun of Jassi and asks her whether she has ever eaten in such an expensive restaurant before and if she understood what was written on the menu. Just then Neena Gupta walks in, looking very poised and elegant. She hears all that Pari is saying and asks Pari if she has ever eaten laafueleez jumakhair? Pari is like – what's that? Neena Gupta tells her that it boiled vegetables with a sprinkling of salt and pepper. One would normally never eat it, but if served in a big restaurant with a big name and a big price, one would devour it 🤣(hehehe – I like this Neena Gupta). She introduces herself as Nandini Sharma, a PR consultant and a good friend of Armaan. (manna parega Armaan – kya networking hai 👏– all the beautiful females in and outside town seem to be his good friends – remember Vasundhara??)
Jassi and Nandini walk away, leaving Pari to quiz over the boiled vegetables. Nandini tells Jassi that there is no dish by the name of laafueleez…. She had just said it for Pari's benenfit.
JASSI'S CABIN
Nazneen finds the packet addressed to Armaan. Raj had left it on his table saying that it must not fall in Jassi's hands, come what may. She gives it to Jassi and asks her to give it to Armaan Sir. (that packet somehow seems ominous – as though about to explode). Jassi says fine and re-reads the card that Armaan had given her yesterday. She says that she can do anything, anything at all for Armaan Sir. She decides to give him back her CEOship as a way of saying thank you and come back to her old cabin. She then picks up the time bomb, I mean the packet and takes it to Armaan's cabin. She leaves it on his desk. Just as she is about to leave the room, she knocks down the packet and all the goodies spill out.
Armaan comes in just then and Jassi hands him her resignation from CEO. Armaan is shocked and wonders why she wants to resign. She says that now that GM's financial condition is secure, she wants to come back to her old post (ye lo, just last week GM was in the midst of a financial crisis and now they've already bounced back????? Mein bhi GM ke kuch shares khareed hi leti hoon) Jassi says that she is Armaan's assistant and the company is his and she wants to give it back to him. He then says that he was expecting Nandini, to which she replies that she is already in GM. Armaan then goes to meet Nandini and Jassi starts picking up the contents of the packet that she had spilled.
There are some soft toys and lots of cards. Jassi picks up a couple of toys and wonders what Armaan is going to do them (arre Jassi, bhool gai how cute Armaan looked playing with the Jassi doll?😳 I know it was just a dream, but even so!!!). Then she sees a letter written by Raj and starts reading it – Armaan my friend, this parcel contains all the things that you need to maintain your hideous relationship with your Miss Ugly Jassi. (bhai dost ho toh aisa – woh aapki company ko hi nahin duboaiga, aapki love life ki bhi band baja dega!!!).
The episode ends on Jassi's shocked expression.
