The Gulmohur employees have had a field day at Essel World, but now it's time to get back to work. Armu sighs as he and Jassi get ready for office the next morning.
Armu: (putting his head on her shoulder) Jassi….hum har din chhuti kyun nahin manaa sakte?
Jassi: Kyunki har din Essel World mein nahn bitaya ja sakta……Gulmohur mein bahut kaam hai Armaan…..ab chalo…..
They arrive to find the rest of the staff in pretty much the same mood. But Jassi galvanizes them into action by announcing a board meeting in an hour.
They all scurry back and forth, finalizing reports, preparing presentations and making seating arrangements. Jassi tells Neha to collect the reports from all departments so that she and Armaan can compile them into a presentation.
Armu: Jassi, yeh kaam main handle kar lunga…..Neha reports le aaye, toh main poori presentation ready kar sakta hun…..
Jassi: (busy at the computer) Presentation toh ready hi hai Armaan…..at least format toh ready hai….bas figures add karne hai….haan, lekin usse present tum zaroor karoge!
Armu: (laughing) Mujhe lagta hai ki yeh kaam tum mujhse achcha kar sakti ho!
Jassi: (getting up and walking towards him) Kyun Armaan? Tum wo pehle insaan the jisne mujhe poore board ke saamne—Dad, Mom, Malllika, Aryan, Maddy—ke saamne presentation karne ka mauka diya tha….yaad hai na?
Armaan gives a "how can I forget" look.
Jassi: Wo mere liye bahut bada pal tha Armaan….mujhe apne upar confidence aa gaya, ki agar khud mein aur khud ki mehnat mein sachaayi ho toh koi bhi kaam impossible nahin hai…..(takes hold of his hands) Yeh confidence tumne mujhe diya hai Armaan…..lekin main toh tab bhi peeche se tumhare saare kaam handle karti thi, aur aaj bhi…..main chahti hun ki mera Armaan Suri, Gulmohur ki tarakki ki kahaani khud apni zubaan se logon ko sunaye…..kyunki agar uss din Armaan sir ne apne secretary par bharosa na kiya hota, toh aaj wo iss tarakki mein uska saath na de paati!
Armaan cups her face tenderly in his hands. Gazing earnestly into her eyes, he whispers, "Tum par bharosa karna meri khush kismati thi Jassi…..zindagi mein shayad pehli baar maine sahi kaam kiya…..aur uska nateeja aaj mere saamne hai!"
He kisses her eyes shut, then backs off as there is a knock at the door. Neha enters with the reports, and they set to work.
JandA, Raj, Nandu, Neha, Maddy and Ruby mom are present at the meeting. Armaan gives an admirable presentation, giving details of GM's financial growth in the past 3 months and the success of its Mannat maternity fashions line. There is clapping all around when he describes the company's overseas expansion including its tie-ups with Celestial and Cinnamon.
Raj: Armaan, iske matlab hai ki India aur South Asia ke saath-saath, ab hamare stores Canada aur Australia mein bhi honge!
Armu: Right Raj! Lekin hum itni growth se satisfied nahin hai! Abhi hume 3 aur markets par focus karna hai—US, Europe and Far East. Inn teeno markets ki needs ke liye hume kaafi intensive research karni padegi, jo Raj aur uski marketing department handle karenge.
Raj mutters, "Bas mujhe shaadi karne ke liye fursat de dena yaar!"
Jassi is sitting silently. Armaan notices this and asks, "Kya baat hai Jassi..kya tum inn reports se khush nahin ho?"
Jassi: Bahut khush hun….lekin main kuch aur kehna chahti hun.
They all look attentively at her. She explains that though they have created a presence overseas, their have still not tapped fully into the Indian market.
Armu protests that they have stores in 16 cities and are planning 4 more.
Jassi: Exactly Armaan….cities! Mera point yahi hai…ki abhi tab hum India ke unn shehro mein nahin pahunche hi jahan fashion abhi bhi aam aadmi ki pahunch se baahar hai. Yehi hamara plan tha na….ki hum fashion ko har region, har pocket tak le ja sake? Yeh tabhi possible ho payega jab hum small towns mein apne outlets kholenge.
Armu: Par Jassi…usme bahut time lag jayega……bahut planning ki zaroorat hai….aur tab tak hum apni overseas expansion ko toh nahin neglect kar sakte! We have to focus on profits, Jassi!
Jassi: Profits se bhi zyada zaroori hai hamari vision, Armaan! Hum sirf overseas pe focus karke, apni local markets ko ignore kare toh hum mein aur doosre fashion houses mein kay fark reh jayega?
There is silence for a moment as JandA stare at each other. Then Armaan says in a tight voice, "Theek hai….aakhir final decision toh Gulmohur ki Chairperson ka hi hoga na!"
Jassi stares helplessly at him.
