Hi Friends

I think you all know that we do not have much topic in JJKN section to discuss😕, most of the time we talk about the articles posted. Therefore I have thought of having a discussion every week😛.

Before you all go back to sleep after reading the word "Discussion" let me explain what I actually mean😆.

Every week we will open a discussion on any character on JJKN, let it be Armaan/Jassi/Mallika anyone. There will be some questions set on the character and you all will be asked to answer the questions. Its nothing like contest/game therefore please dont hesitate to put forward your two cents.

This week's discussion is on Jassi aka Jasmeet Walia aka Jasmeet Oberoi aka Jessica Bedi aka Jassi Armaan Suri aka Neha shashtri....phewwww the list is too long.

  • Do you think Jassi was a perfect example of a daughter on whom parents can be proud of ? Why or Why Not😊
  • What makes Jassi and Nandu's friendship distinctive/unbreakable (isnt it that similar poles repel each other🤔)?
  • Why do you think Jassi went for a make over? Is it to prove to Armaan that she was hot than Mallika?😉😆
  • When Jassi knew that Armaan and Mallika were engaged, do you think it was right on her part to still love him and dream of him?
  • When Jassi was slapped by Armaan on their wedding night (5th August) why do you think she didnt reply him back? Was running away the best solution?😕
  • Knowing that Purab had once left her before their marriage, why did she take his help again to become Jessica Bedi?
  • Was she a good bahu and a good wife?😛

Looking forward to your participation😊.

Ananya

Great questons!!! 👏

Do you think Jassi was a perfect example of a daughter on whom parents can be proud of ? Why or Why Not
Jassi was intelligent and she wanted to be the boy/girl to her family...She had an aim in her life and her parents were pround of her

What makes Jassi and Nandu€™s friendship distinctive/unbreakable (isn€™t it that similar poles repel each other)?
Yes they were similar poles and they are always in consent and understanding in most of the pblms faced in the life

Why do you think Jassi went for a make over? Is it to prove to Armaan that she was hot than Mallika?

I have'nt yet seen the part as I am watching the re-runs but she did want to show that she can be as beautiful as a swan but never change her personality..

When Jassi knew that Armaan and Mallika were engaged, do you think it was right on her part to still love him and dream of him?

Love is blind and has no control over emotions

When Jassi was slapped by Armaan on their wedding night (5th August) why do you think she didn€™t reply him back? Was running away the best solution?

No she shud have confronted Armaan and explained
Knowing that Purab had once left her before their marriage, why did she take his help again to become Jessica Bedi?
No yet seen that part as watching the re- run so yet to comment

Was she a good bahu and a good wife?

yes ..

Nice to see a cool viewbie in action. 😉
Jassi was a good daughter & a bahu. She had inherited good values in her life from her father. She wanted to take full responsibities of a daughter & a bahu. She was loving & caring.Anyone can be proud to have her as a daughter. 😊
Nandu was a copy of Jassi or shall we say he was a male version of Jassi. They understood each other perfectly. They were facing similar problems in life.
I did not particularly like, when she went for a makeover. Why can't anyone(Armaan here) love her as she was? (as Armaan did after all)But Ok. I'll say as Ananya said-she had to show the world, particularly Mallika-who always called her chashmish chuhiya 😡 that she can be hotter than her 😃
Love is blind,as India says. & she did not try to steal Mallika's love. She in fact tried her best to bring them togather(remember that marriage counselar episode)
I got very angry, when Armaan slaped her & she ran away. She should have confronted Armaan then & there. How dared he not trust her, when he loved her! She trusted him & accepted him, even if he was a casanova! Why women have to suffer every time!
Why did she take Purab's help for makeover? These things cost money, yaar! & he was rich & would have readily spend money on her-which he did! 😉 😆
How many marks I get madam? 😉

Do you think Jassi was a perfect example of a daughter on whom parents can be proud of ? Why or Why Not?

Jassi was a really intelligent girl. She had good values in her life . She was really academic. Too add on all of those she always respected her parents and always listened to them. But again she did some stupid things like running away from the marriage which embarrassed her parents. Then there was the PMS. But overall I think she was a good daughter and her parents were proud of her. Because in today's world there are a very few young stars who listen to their parents after they are fully grown up.

What makes Jassi and Nandu's friendship distinctive/unbreakable (isn't it that similar poles repel each other)?

Jassi and Nandu were not exactly similar. There were differences in their values and the way they think. I don't think Jassi and Nandu's friendship was really distinctive. Their relationship was exactly like best friends relationship should be. They could understand each other's feeling and talk about their feelings to each other without any hesitation. And I think all of us share that much comfort with our best friends. Jassi and Nandu's relationship was unbreakable because of the understanding they had between them and their friendship was too strong.

Why do you think Jassi went for a make over? Is it to prove to Armaan that she was hot than Mallika?

I don't know. I think there was absolutely no need of a makeover. Armaan lowed Jassi for what she is. JJKN's message was that beauty is nothing; it's all about brain. But the makeover reversed that message. Because after that makeover our dear Jassi started to do stupid things.

When Jassi knew that Armaan and Mallika were engaged, do you think it was right on her part to still love him and dream of him?

Of course it was. Armaan sir was a dream that she thought would never come true. but she did not stop dreaming. After all what's the harm in that? She never demanded anything from Armaan unless Armaan himself confessed his lowe for Jassi (Although is was a drama on Armaan's part). Moreover she knew that Armaan was not happy with Mallika and they are going to break up anyway.

When Jassi was slapped by Armaan on their wedding night (5th August) why do you think she didn't reply him back? Was running away the best solution?

I still don't understand that why she did not explain the whole situation to Armaan. But again to come to thing of it she thought Armaan trusted him. To trust is to trust without wanting any explanations; to trust is to rely on one person. But Armaan lacked that trust. That's why Jassi did not reply to him I guess as trust is really important in something as sacred as a marriage. But running away from the marriage was an absolutely obnoxious thing to do. It was definitely no the best solution.

Knowing that Purab had once left her before their marriage, why did she take his help again to become Jessica Bedi?

Because maybe she herself was happy that Purab has left her.😉 After all she lowed Armaan. But Purab was a really good friend of her and thus she took his help.

Was she a good bahu and a good wife?

She was a good bahu but really good to the oberois I guess. She was a good wife. She performed all the duties of a good wife.

Pheww Anu that was hard. 😆But it sure was fun! 😃Looking forward to more of these discussions.😊

I would say Jassi was a GOOD example of a daughter whom parents can be proud of, not a PERFECT one; because she did make stupid mistakes like running away and doing that PMS thing. But overall, she was a very loyal, loving and devoted daughter, whom any parent would want to have. She made mistakes because she was human. I don't want to use the word "perfect" because it places too many expectations, and no one is perfect.

  • What makes Jassi and Nandu's friendship distinctive/unbreakable (isnt it that similar poles repel each other🤔)?

I disagree that Jassi and Nandu were exactly similar. Yes, there were surface similarities like their geeky looks and middle-class backgrounds; but Nandu was more practical and materialistic than Jassi. She was naive and idealistic. So they complemented each other very well because when Jassi got too carried away in emotions, Nandu would come to her rescue with practical advice.

  • Why do you think Jassi went for a make over? Is it to prove to Armaan that she was hot than Mallika?😉😆

No, she wanted to prove that she was no less then anyone else: that beauty, brains and a good heart are not mutually exclusive. She was not even aiming to win Armaan when she had her makeover; she wanted it to boost her self-esteem in a world obsessed with looks. Her heart had been broken; she was feeling confused and unable to decide what and whom to trust. In short, she was going through an identity crisis and having the makeover was basically a coping mechanism. I can identify with her completely iin that respect because, at a time of low self-esteem, I too went in for a temporary makeover.

  • When Jassi knew that Armaan and Mallika were engaged, do you think it was right on her part to still love him and dream of him?

Love knows no barriers, no norms, no societal rules. It is the one thing in life that is unfettered. Loving someone without expectations is not wrong, even if that person is engaged to someone else. She was not trying to snatch him away from Mallika anyway.

  • When Jassi was slapped by Armaan on their wedding night (5th August) why do you think she didnt reply him back? Was running away the best solution?😕

Running away never solves problems. It was the stupidest thing she did. She should have stayed on and stuck it out.

  • Knowing that Purab had once left her before their marriage, why did she take his help again to become Jessica Bedi?

Did she take Purab's help? I thought it was Nandini who got her started; and Purab sort of "imposed" his help on her.😆 Jokes apart, yes, she did take his help, but it was because she knew that he was a good friend even if he did not measure up as a lover. Personally, though, I would have preferred if she had done it all on her own.

  • Was she a good bahu and a good wife?😛

Definitely. She loved her in-laws like her own parents, and left no stone unturned to ensure that Gulmohur and the Suris would not have to surrender their honour to the likes of Aryan.

Good idea Cool Viewbie ji!!👏 😛
