Debate : Was Jassi Intelligent ........ - Page 2

It is true, Jassi was susceptible. She believed people and let their thinking guide her. But she did have a mind of her own. She did resist her Papaji to join IFH, and she eventually overcame her attachment to Armaan to escape him and go to Mauritius. So it was not like the people around her dictated ALL the decisions in her life.

Yes, she followed her heart, and that gave her a lot of heartbreak too. Does that make her foolish? The question now is: Do shrewd people, who weigh the situation around them, make less mistakes than emotional fools? I don't think so. All of us are deceived at some time or the other, not because we are foolish but because we are human. It is not possible for ANYONE in this world to always take right decisions.

People who are always wary of being fooled by others are fooled by themselves. Rigid logic and street-smartness may get one brownie points in the dog-eat-dog world, but eventually it leads to emptiness and loss of mental peace. Isn't THAT foolishness?

Personally, I would rather follow my heart and be fooled a few times, rather than be worldly-wise and be on tenterhooks all the time for fear of being deceived.

I dont think many are getting the point , The issue is not abt her honesty, golden heart or her tender caring nature, she is all that and more and I def agree . Nor is the issue abt the consequences of her foolishness or inteligence .

The question is was she intelligent in her decisions.

for eg : Arman handed Kohinoor to her and she did accept it , that was great that she did that solely coz of her love for arman sir BUT was it an intelligent decsion knowing that she was the one to go behind bars and if she did so , how much insult and hurt it would have caused her family and parents and in a way she betrayed them too . She also knew it was against the law to do something like that .

so my question was , is she inteligent coz when u look at the episodes, its clear that she wasnt taking intelligent decisions , now I am not saying if her decisions were right or wrong but questioning her intelligence alone .

I don't know if she was "intelligent" in the sense you mean, Tina....but I do know she was wise....if you can understand my illogical thinking. 😆

well.. i think this was the whole point of the serial. (initially anyways.) they showed her evolving... and learning from world around her when she was finally exposed to the real-world as she started her job.

and she did learn a lot... until the show got braincurrupt..

I think Jassi was intelligent but sometmes she acted like a fool. Some of her foolish acts does not make her dumb. Whatever I wanted to say is already said. I would just like to add one thing that Jassi often made decisions based on her moral values instead of using her brain. And in today's world if you make decisions according to your values you are going to end up making a fool out of yourself. And thats what happened to Jassi too. But as time went on she learned .As vimzz said she was too inoocent at first. But experience did taught her alot. For example when she and sheuli tricked Aryan,she used her brain instead of her values.

Wow all these different views r driving me crazy!! 😆 But I agree with the topic starter. All she did was what others advised her to do. (great way to keep members attracted to this forum! 😊 )

I feel Jassi was surrounded with people who cud just take her intelligence and make the best misuse of her honesty ...She became Purab's friend when she was upset over the engagement mallika fisco.. Purab was a good friend but he was not telling her abt himself while Jassi told him where she worked etc.. Honesty was more in her due to which she is facing a lot in her life when it comes to buisness and truth ...
