Purab was a man who could compete Arman with looks, personality, financially and the same society Arman was coming from. Thus like a4j discussed Nandu does not come in the picture. He was not to be compared with Purab or Arman, he was from different league.
When Arman was Casanova and totally humiliating Jassi along with his friend Raj, Mallika the person that came into Jassi's life was Purab. That was the main reason he was so popular and loveable by Purab fans. In real life people would appreciate person like Purab in the circumstances he entered the show. If some rich, handsome boss is misusing my emotion and taking advantage of my sincerity and making me work more than I should for his personal benefit he is difentely not treating me right. If in this situation I find a handsome dude who can compete this selfish, errogant boss financially, personality and with everything he would have to be hero in eyes of all. This is exactly what happened. And believe it or not, people like Purab are there who are humble, who cares for the people they love and try to protect them be it the say of husband, boyfriend, guardian, friend or lover. Just because some one protects you from errogant loverboy does not mean it HAS to be like your father. Please !!! I think I can accept my lover to protect me from mean vices of society and still love him. But ofcourse, this is something that is where our individual fantasy comes in. 😉 Now till this part of the show I don't see why Jassi should love Arman and not Purab. I really don't buy a shit that love is blind. I know it is and I have seen people around me doing anything crazy for the people they love, but maybe I am someone who loves with brain more than heart (QT remember that article 😉 ) … so at till this point I think Purab was really a great person who tried to show jassi evil or Arman, which ofcourse were true.
There comes turning point. Arman being Arman could not see someone like Purab who is handsome, rich, influential, intelligent, can love someone like Jassi. He knew how intelligent Jassi was and how important she was for Gulmohor, but he could not like many of my friends here buy that Purab could just love jassi for being herself. And there starts his doubts on Jassi.
In this whole situation Jassi has always loved Arman no matter what. Purab has be as true and gentleman as any girl would dream for (atleast I would 😳) loving jassi for who she was and what she was. His love was above looks. And he was no unrealistic. Trust me. Arman here was the spoilt rich brat I would not get attracted to at all. Someone egoistic, loverboy, selfish and thinking for his monetory gain….nah!! But ofcourse, he had this good deep down and his jelousy and realization of love for Jassi over the time made him just as good.
These are just my two cents 😉

ditto!!

Tanny, we need more Purabians here, I only counted 4 here & one of them is not writing anything...just whispering & running away 😆 Armaan supporters ne to dhawa bol diya hai 😉
& I am glad, I don't have to write anything today......phew...what a relief... 😆 Bindi has said it all I wanted to say 😊
& beleive me Tina when I say that characters like Purab do exist. One Purab was in my life too & he was certainly not my father! You can say,he was Purab turned into Armaan for me 😉 😆

if you are counting then include me in the purab army!!

i have voiced my opinion many times and it is still the same... purab was the original good guy and jassi was the original fool 🤢

for the rest of it refer to bindi's essay 😉

Noone denied that Purab was a good guy . He was a nice human being . For me I rather prefer to see a guy with flaws changing himself than a guy who is portrayed with no flaws at all and who takes decsions on others behalf esp for Jassi .
Its all a matter of choices and the fact is no one can be perfect and no one can be that white with absolutely no negative traits at all . Every human being has flaws , like some may be too impulsive like arman , some very sensitive , some very short tempered and these negative traist do affect us and our decisions ateleast once in a while . Thats exactly why I could identify with Arman coz he was a guy who had issues like ego, anger , impulsive and he changed and I couldnt identify at all with a person who had absolutely no flaws in his nature at all which i think is impossible and unbelievable

ive liked characters with flawed nature i.e the angry young man original sujal, 😳there is something real about them, yes.😛

ppl may laugh when i say this..but what bothered me abt Armaan was when he commited a fraudalent act with the kohinoor issue..n thats something i could not identify with n just put me off him..n yes he changed..but it was not a convincing turnaround (That was the production house, writers fault)..perhaps thats why i could never feel for the guy when was pining for jassi.

I dont think I can find a more convincing turn around in any other serial than one to Armaan's chracter...

Lets say TD spoiled 25% of the turn around by introducing purab...Damn!! he was never meant to be in the story.

Blf never had him and if you read that story each and every character was written with so much depth that Purab was..

And third yes its a normal girl would have gone for Purab(maybe thats why we are not jassi 😛)

And I guess at the end it all boils down to personal choices...

BUt let me tell you..If purab had never entered..Maybe if they stuck to the original more people would have realted to jassi..

Besides I think jassi lost its magic only after the makeover...with the starting of the horrendous jessica case!!

yes in the end it boils down to personal preferences...

and the way the story is presented...

for me it was pretty badly done after they decided that purab will get engaged to jassi and then he abruptly turns out to be a bad guy... similarly armaan did an abrupt u turn and turned out to be the good guy...

i have wished a thousand times they had stuck to the original script... i would have loved to watch them in their original roles...

whn people say that purab had o flaws the n idont agree with it he was selfish he saw his love before jassi's. he saw his happiness before jassi's. and he was hard core bussiness man also.the diff between armaan and purab was that armaan was impulsive and just did wht he felt like but purab was cool and calcultive. he went abt his way in planed way like arundhati's entry.

if he really loved jassi then he sld have tried to unite jassi and armaan as he always knew that jasi loved armaan. but he took advantage of the rift between jasi and armaan.whn u r in love u see the hppiness of the the one u love and it was armaan for jassi.post make over also he tried to creat rift between armaan and jassi.

so i think he is more black than armaan.and he is cretainly not more good looking than armaan.
