With that very same determination she decided to detach herself from Main To Chala, her would-be debut film which she says was taking forever to start. "I couldn't sit around waiting for the day it finally went on the floors. There was so much more I could do, which I ultimately did—like Sony's Jhalak Dikhlaja that has given me so much," says Mona insisting that
Main To Chala remains a closed chapter for her. "But I know one thing for sure, I will never give up TV." Interestingly, the producer of Main To Chala, Bobby Pushkarna, is clueless about Mona's decision not to do the film any more. "Mona is free to say what she wants. She has not officially told me anything about now not wanting to be a part of the film," says a surprised Bobby. "Neither have I asked her to return the singing amount I have already paid her. I agree that the film has got delayed since my father is ill, but once he is better, the film will be back on track."
