SS dug Purab's grave

I know many ppl at this site blame tony and deeya singh for ruination of purab mehra's character. but its not really them who has ruined it but Sameer Soni himself thanks to his unprofessionalism. calm down and look at it logically ppl. JJKN is the remake of a spanish soap opera. SET or the singhs have made no secret of the this fact. in fact every night we see the credits where the copyright is attributed to the original columbian writer. in betty la fea the story was of mousy secretary and her good looking but shallow boss. its abt how they fall in love and overcome their differences. the serial cud have never started without the charcater of armaan suri. this role was offered to sameer soni and he rejected it. later AA took up this role as a challenge and made it work. the serial became quiet popular as the serial with a differnce. every cast member knew what his/her role was all abt.
but i guess the channel or the makers were unsatisfied w/ the trps it got. as they say if u have some u want more. so they wanted more trps. so they decided to bring in a character who is the anti-thesis of everything armaan suri was. this character was purab mehra. this character was supposed to come in for a cameo. so whom did they approach? sameer soni once again who was by now regretting his descision of rejecting armaan's role. sameer soni was an ex-model who cudnt make his mark in bollywood. when he was offered purab mehra's role he was basically in oblivion. ppl did not know he even existed. but the role of purab mehra clicked.
so when JJKN needed some masala they went back to Purab to do the requisite. they realized that the character has become popular and decided to continue with it. but then was sameer soni really cheated? no! he always knew where he stood. that JJKN is the remake of betty la fea and it is armaan-jassi story and not purab-jassi one. to add masala they had polls, showed some purab-jassi 'romance' but sooner or later they had to get back to track. obviously it was sooner as purab-jassi track though appeared promising trp-wise actually when implemented did nothing for it. most ppl where bored w/ such a chemistryless couple and lack of jjkn's original comedy element and had stopped watching the serial.
So Purab's character had to make an exit. Now we all agree that JJKN is benefitted Sameer Soni rather than the other way round. how many of us ever heard of him or had seen him b4 JJKN? now he can use his success to move on w/ his career. so the least he cud have done for the ppl who gave him a 2nd lease of life was shoot for his exit.
But Sameer soni was highly unprofessional. he just left without shooting and the producers were forced to use his old scenes to end his track. look at it logically guys. if sameer wud have shot for his exit then purab wudnt have got a coward's exit. he wud have prolly had a heart-to-heart talk w/ jassi on why he doesnt want to go ahead with the marriage and then left. mind u and exit doesnt mean character being turned negative. but thanks to sameer's absence purab has dumped jassi and run away like a coward. so finally it was sameer soni who betrayed his fans and not the makers or the channel. the least he cud have done for his fans was ensure that they are'nt disappointed w/ his exit.

u seem to b an armaan fan, anyway Samir has dug his own grave not purab's, nobody knew him before purab nobody will know him after purab. This was his lifetime opportunity. But tell me one thing, didn't he know that better than us ? he has struggled for 10 years, but still he left, must have been something serious ! secondly he was promised that the character won't turn negative, now T & D have turned from their promise, they demanded him to turn negative. May be that was unacceptable for Samir.

I know it for a fact that they did not intend to turn him negative. they knew such a thing wont be accepted by the audiences.
But my point is even if he wasnt happy w/ the track he cud have told them that "Gimme a decent exit" and shot for it.

Disagreed, Actors can be replaced. But character's vanishing without justification is a mistake of directors.

If you see many serials, if the actor decides to quit, they donot vanish the character. Yeh to T & D ka ek ploy tha. Purab's character was too large and hot for them to handle. No justification would have been enough to exit purab without a negative twist. If they did cared and SS didnt cared then they could have say do hell with SS and they could have hired another actor. But they didnt. If you see they are still scared of Purab the PHANTOM and they are trying every trick in the book to turn auidience against now 'gone purab'. It seems like every problem in jassi's life they blame on Purab 😆. They are so forgetfull that purab had send a check to jassi for her helping her. if only she had accepted it, she wont be facing the current situation.

SS was responsible for the problem in Character. But the real reason for vanishing the character was T & D & SONY. Nobody else. They got a neck saving opportunity and they took it.

Don't blame Samir yaar....He worked so hard to come in to this stage and i
don't think he did this by all propose.something really bad happened which we are completely unaware of.He struggled for more then 10 yrs to be in this stage, i bet if anyone would be in his place they would have given up the hopes, but still he followed his dream though he can do other better things.well we are all making guesses about his quit some are in favor of him some are not.but i tell one thing, he was not that unprofessinal, don't blame that much,something did happen behind the scene which compell samir to quit the show and he indeed knew that his career is in risk which has just started to take off.Well he wouldn't have done such thing until and unless something really serious prb comes
up.
Arre don't jump on to the conclusion like this.Purab ka exit is still a big Sadma to his fans and this type of things can give them a Purab phobia in a high level.But still i will tell everyone "SAMIR IS A VERY GOOD HUMAN BEING" accept it or deny it but he is.

I think u havent got my point-they HAD to come back to track sooner or later. Purab HAD to exit sooner or later. the least SS cud have done is ensure a decent exit of Purab instead of a cowardly exit.
For ex: he cud she shown telling Jassi taht he thinks that what she has for him isnt sufficient to get married. then he shld have bid his farewell to bebe and left. he cud have told jassi that call me if u ever need a friend. we have seen innumerable films where there are 2 guys. and one guy makes a graceful exit. something like michel's character did in blf.

If you meant convoluted, then let me tell you there was nothing like it. The only point i meant to make was what twist and turn a character makes in not decided by the actors but by DIRECTORS. Thats why they are called the one who is having the helm of the show in thier hands.

Agree Samir could have stayed back, but if his character was having a decent exit then i dont belive he would have revolted this way.

Also AGAIN i am saying an actor leaving the show shouldnt affect the DIRECTION if the DIRECTOR is sure what they wants to show.

ACTOR can suggest/reject but he is not responsible for what is shown on screen. Also, the samir fiasco was not the ONLY mistake of DJ creations. Other mistakes which many agree and at times even you agree is that they diviated from the original script. IF they were so airthight with the contract that they couldnt have changed the ending then it was THIERs and ONLY thiers mistake that they changed the story in first place.

They made Armaan negative for which auidience started hating him, Thier mistake. I once like armaan for what he was for supporting jassi when she was rejected by all. but then this is overshadowed by the facts that his character was later turned too black.

They streched the story just for the sake of money beyond thier mental capacity to pen a good screenplay. in process they butchered the script. Had they kept to original story, the story would have ended before time i.e in one year but everyone would have been happy with the story and they wouldnt have had to resort to thier neck saving tactic.

and there were many mistakes of thier's, all cant be BLAMED on SS. SS made one mistake but doesnot means that whatever happens to the story after allibagh he is responsible. The DIRECTORS are.

No Im not blaming SS for EVERYTHING that happenned to JJKN. Im blaming him for not staying back and shooting for a proper exit. that isnt too much to ask right? we have seen so many actors who have told they were not convinced by what they did onscreen yet they stayed on so that the producer and the serial that has given them so much doesnt suffer.
biggest example is nausheen ali. she is a 25 year old. she was unhappy playing an old woman. thats why she conveyed her feelings to the producer. she gave them 3 months time to find a replacement and only then she left. we saw that post diwali party Purab mehra lasted only 1 week. that wud have taken only a week of SS' time. he cud have just shown this much courtesy and shot the last bit.
