What could be missing? - Page 2

I think,everything is missing! The script,JandA chemistry, cast of JJKN-Parmeet,Rakshanda,Manini-I mean they were all so good.I miss Raj as Apu's friend.The storyline was good.The passion,the comedy...Here's only Apu(not Armaan).
Maybe where Apu is concerned,we expect some firecrackers, that are just not there!
Are we expecting too much? after all,he was not so good in his movies!

Yeah, you are right. Jjkn seemed to have got everything right. And doesn't Apu look a tad old and tired in Kaajal? He looks so fresh and young in jjkn. Maybe those fags and late night parties are taking their toll.

I felt the same thing that the charm is missing for sure ,he is great in his acting but then it looks as if his soul is not there and he is just not involved enough in his character

Wonderful topic. I have been trying to catch the reruns of Kaajal.

I think there is something amiss on AA's part. He has had some wonderfully directed scenes with KAAJAL.
AA seems to be holding back. He was good in JJKN even with MALLIKA during their romantic scenes. It can also be because of SC. One has to get the right CUES and expression...from the costar.

Maybe he isn't comfortable with SC as he was with RK or MS.

Maybe that's why he wants to go back to movies! Here he has to work everyday-without getting a break.

There's no soul...SImple as that.....I dont find any honesty in Surveen's eyes,neither do I connect with the character Kaajjal...MAybe I shouldnt judge,because I wouldnt have watched more than 45 mins of the show..But when Kaajjal cries/laughs,she doesnt move you 😕

There's no soul,It all looks like acting,it doesnt look real...Surveen a ka Kaajjal looks fake,her smile,her attitude..Nothing seems real,JJKn was real,and we could empathise with characters.... Kaajjal looks like a clone of the kekta soaps,where the heroine is over the top/larger than life....and Apu really looks LOST!

APu is yet to settle,He looks lost in that environment..Its clearly evident that he is missing his friends and the JJKn team.... The comfort level is not there...

I think Apu is not so fully into Dev as he was into Armaan. When JJKN started, he really had to prove himself as he had a flop career in films behind him. On the sets, he found some of his best friends: Parmeet, Rakshanda, Mona....there was so much bonding that work became pleasure and the scenes came effortlessly to all the actors.

Moreover JJKN was a phenomenon from the word go. Everything about it, from the script, to the characters, to the look, to the publicity, was fresh and different. When you feel you are part of a legend in the making, you tend to naturally put in your best.

Later, it was the vibes with Mona that made the romantic scenes memorable and carved an indelible place for janda in our hearts. 😳

Whereas, Kaajal is just another role for him. His friends aren't anywhere around and Surveen is certainly nowhere close to Mona, either in acting or in the chemistry(?) she and APu share. 🤢
