You are right Tina. As Armaan Suri, Apu was very much under the skin of the character. But in Kaajjal I felt -he just wasn't there!!! 😕 Well I haven't seen the pilot episode yet, but from the trailors, I wasn't very impressed as I was with him in JJKN either. It's just odd. I know he's supposed to be a sadhoo character and all, but man, its just not the same. He doesn't have the same zest and fire that he used to.

well as per the characetr profile,Dev was supposed to be "the beast" and downright arrogant and evil,but yesterday when i saw the last scenes where he was required to be evil and really arrogant ,he was quite ok and not that menacing .

I mean arman suri was much less arrogant but the way arman was showed in JJKN and the way dev was shown yesterday, I would say arman won hands down in the arrogance portrayal .

also I think the zing is not there on apu's face, the charged up apu isnt there (for me)

That's exactly what i felt Tina. He is supposed to look menacing - like a beast, but he just doesn't look menacing enough. And i think the camera angle was all wrong. Much of the scene in the principal's office was taken from the top and you only got to see Apu's back. And as his leather jacket was a tad too long and his jeans were ill-fitting, he looked lunj-punj rather than menacing.😆

Btw, i'm glad our forum has not be converted into the kajjal forum 😉
