And she has been since made it in their world yet is being pointed out repeatedly she doesn't fit and doesn't belong. She has started to doubt herself and what Surnita said could be true too.

Remember the first time she went to a party with Armaan ( that terrible purple dress ) she made a special effort with no major outcome. Those kind of episodes probably have put a damper on her confidence.

I feel that the looks matter to a great extent at least for the first impression about the person and to boost the confidence of that person. I myself have felt that if sometimes I feel that a particular dress does not look good on me I keep asking my husband and daughter for their opinion because I do not want to feel embarrassed in front of other people. Jassi is the CEO of a fashion house and when clients meet her they must think when she herself does not know how to dress up appropriately then how can she give them a good collection. That is another point that they like Jassi after they talk to her and come to know about her intellactual abilities.

true minnie, but then as said before, that sweepz away the moral of the story. The moral is about a middle-class ugly girl making it through life as a very properous woman and despite her looks has become an huge asset to her company. So if she starts worrying about her looks to much that just shows she is embarrased of who she is and falls back on her proving she didn't need to be all prepy and good looking inorder tp become a CEO of a big company.

I think there is a bit of symbolism going on here. Jassi wanted the necklace from Armaan but she doesnt feel comfortable with the one from Purab.

Surnita you are reading too much into nothing!!!

Jassi is comfortable with the gift given by purab, there is no reason as to not to accept it, or else she would have wanted to return it to purab as she did with armaan's gift, remmember she returned Armaan's necklace before even he could ask for it. Also, it is not like that she didnt like purab's gift, its just that she is not used to expensive gifts!! Her first reaction to nandu's gift was that yeh to bahut mehnga lagta hain and she tried to give it back to nandu & asked him to give it back and get the money, but she didnt do the same with purab, she didnt forced purab to take it back. it means that she was just not comfortable in wearing it too the party as she thought that it didnt go with her looks.

So there is no symbolism here.

well said jammy...well surnita though we don't know what happens later but for now jassi seems happy and content with purab and as for armaan, she seems to have moved on. i could qoute a hundred instances where her expression for purab is tender.

if you go by symbolism...she is comfortable with all that touching, kissing with purab...in public...and she did not allow armaan to kiss her in private. when purab tries to flirt with bebe in the party while looking at jassi...she smiles(she does not seem embarrased , she seems to take it as her due). everytime meena turns up her face falls ....it was never this bad with armaan and mallika...even though armaan shared a relationship with mallika and purab has to ties to meena....i can keep going on

however the directors of this show are so inconsistent that i would not count any of these as being a factor/signs signifying the end.

Agreed minnie,

But you know why they kept the serial name as 'Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahi' . It was to give a moral to the story, that looks doesnot matter and a girl can live her life(proffesional and personal) without having to worry about good looks.

If they change her looks now, it disappoint the many girls out there who are not good looking, because it makes the point that yes in corporate(job place) world you can win without your looks, but on marriage front or society front look does matters.

Its like you take them high one day and then you dump them the other!!

i agree jammy and minnie...but here is the thing

personality and looks are two different things....while most business tycoons are not great lookers(ambanis, birlas...tatas...), they have great personalities(they don't hide thier imperfections ,or shy away from good things in life).they embrace thier imperfections and devlop other facets of thier personality.

btw here is a quote from one of my teachers (have always carried me thru)

take 1 part of beauty, you dress it up with a great wardrobe...it becomes tenfold....add some accesories...it becomes hundred folds...add some attitude...it becomes thousand fold...add some wit ,education and a smile ...it becomes million folds...add some confidence....it becomes billion folds and you have the perfect beauty...by the way that one part of beayty...every human on earth has it.

bottomline is if jassi keeps hiding behind her fears....she will never achieve her potential

Totally agree with you puja. While Jassi has immense potential, there is only so far she can go with that without developing her personality (This has got nothing to do with looks). Beyond that point, she needs to socialise, develop contacts.

I wonder how she prepares collections for international clients with the kind of colour coordination she has. That suit of hers at the diwali party was 🤢 blood red and parrot green!!! Her brain seems to work on two different planes. One for the company and one for herself.

Rather than CEO, she is acting more like the Operation's manager of Gulmohar looking after the running of the company. All the projects so far that she has executed have come through Armaan and Mallika's contacts. She herself has not made any efforts. She thinks that her Babaji will continue to drop contracts in her lap.

I think this party will be the turning point in her life.
